How has your opinion evolved?

IMHO --> Ritchie is exactly as advertised -> this is the guy they brought in -> not a leader of men -> a giant teenager -> but a good teamate

IMHO --> Martin is an opportunist, who is beig bullid by his two parents who are lawyers

Fot the record -> J Ireland is a terrible GM -> if he goes down I won't be too concerned

I think you're pretty spot on with this analysis

I've gone from thinking Martin is a rat fink wuss, to knowing Martin is a rat fink wuss, to knowing Martin is a rat fink wuss with holier than thou mommy and daddy, to knowing martin is a rat fink wuss with holier than thou mommy and daddy who probably bully him .... to knowing Martin is a rat fink wuss with holier than thou mommy and daddy who probably bully him and becoming concerned he may slit his wrists from embarrassment.

Still the same Marty should have had the balls to use his resources if he felt like the teams bitch. Not runaway with self diagnosed mental issues.

Incog is the same meat head he was when the dolphins signed him.

Still gathering facts...not listening to ESPN in a sense of what side they are on.

Incognito is a pig

Martin walked out in a cafeteria prank that was universal but he took the oppotunity. I still want more info on all his arguements and the timeline because if the timeline shows not much happened once season started, he was a complete opportunist who could care less about the Miami Dolphins taking down good people like Joe Philbin who dont deserve this. People are using this stuff to get their desired results for the team.

There are no good results for the team. Its those who continue to support the Dolphins against the world.

Ross will be next scapegoat by fans. You still heard it here first.

Didn't change at all.

Martin is soft.

Incognito is an idiot.

Still don't care about any of it.

and yet your here expressing your opine.

I haven't changed my mind. I feel Martin should have handled it like a man and stand up to what HE didn't like - not run to Mommy and Daddy for help. It's funny he left after being demoted to RT. He also broke the code of a team - work within the team. He won't be able to earn their trust again. He should have just walked away and said he's done playing pro football.

We just need to wait until everything comes out. I hope Philbin survives - otherwise we rebuild again.

I never wanted Incognito because he's been trouble everywhere he's played.
Martin was a terrible 2nd round pick and has never impressed me at tackle.
Ireland is an awful GM, a terrible drafter, and if some of what I've heard this week is true, an idiot.
These things were true before this crapstorm started so my opinion on these three people hasn't evolved.

Philbin I had high hopes for, but anyone who puts Incognito in any kind of leadership role is a damn fool, imo. So now I question Philbin's judgement enough to want him gone.

I was thinking of posting a thread earlier about Incogs as a leader in council.

I ask who else should be in charge making Martin tougher? Anyone on this Oline doesnt have the mental toughness that Incog has. No one. I can completely understand why they put cogs in charge of that. What I dont understand is why he was allowed to continue his antics as a leader in that capacity by management.

in defense of Philbin and co., It was probly because they hearn nothing from Martin or anyone about what was going on in Martin's mind. Martin just walked out. complete puzzy.

I am tired of sentences starting..."in defense Philbin..." It has happened since he arrived.

At one point when the economy was in the boom mode, like during part of that Viet Nam era (the old paradigm being that war economies pumped up the economy by keeping everyone working) it was difficult to recruit soldiers, especially if combat was involved. I believe it was common practice to offer both criminals looking at jail sentences or already incarcerated convicts demonstrating good behavior an out conditional on joining the army. Long way of saying, Richie is who he is, brought a lot of this on himself, but has at least learned a little over his misadventures as proven by his teammates' testimonials that he was a great teammate and the first one to have others' backs. The point is, can you say the same about Martin? It may be a stretch but in the trenches or a foxhole, I'd feel a lot safer sharing them with Incog than a sniveling, soft, quitting traitor.

Not at all, other than disgust at Philbin and the organization as a whole for concealing the golf episode.

Otherwise, any news that appears favorable to Incognito will eventually be trumped by damning evidence against him. That's not exactly strenuous handicapping. I have to laugh at all the desperate posts and threads, overreacting to any little twist that appears to favor Incognito and injure Martin's case. I can't imagine going through life that way, teetering wildly based on the most recent speck of info. Although I have seen it for decades in Las Vegas. That is easily the preferred type of bettor, from a casino perspective. If all you know is what happened five minutes ago, essentially you don't know anything. Fox's flippy burger was quite predictable. Kudos to ESPN for maintaining an astute foundational focus. That's why they are the giant.

Interesting take on it. Seems about right.

I hate it all. I guess we'll just wait.

As far as the golf incident, I don't see that as covering up an episode, but as a fully aware participant, Philbin should have wrapped that up by releasing Incognito, not promoting him to leader of the O line, or mentor to Martin.

(Ravens just kicked and won in OT, fyi. Bengels never should have gone for 4th down.)

It's a message board, smart guy.

We exchange thoughts and such relevant to the discussions surrounding our team.

Question was asked how your opinion of all of this has EVOLVED. Mine really hasn't evolved.

Sorry I had to break it down for you but I don't mind.

Where are u getting that from ? When the draft ended our escapades in SE Asia were all but over with. There were no US combat ground troops in Vietnam when the draft ended. We've been an all volunteer force ever since.

I'm going to try and stay civil but I PRAY daily we never get into another symmetrical war. Because if we do ; we're #$%&*?!.

cuz i know someone personally who was given that option during the draft, who in turn knew a bunch of others. However, whether I'm right or wrong, the point of that set up was if circumstances mandated it, would you want to be in that proverbial foxhole with someone like Incognito or Martin. I'm sure those in the trenches and those who the trench warriors protect wouldn't think twice about that answer.

I am more disgusted by the former NFL players who know this goes on and have participated, now playing like this is a new occurrence that they collectively would have never been associated with, all the while turning this whole thing into a race thing. Every one of the so called "analysts" have very checkerd pasts...even the venerable Sir Thomas Jackson the master of the cheap shot when he played. Chris Carter...Drugs. Keyshawn Johnson....His conceit cost his career. Ray "The Knife" Lewis killed a man and got away with it. Now their all choir boys... with an agenda.
