How high would you draft a QB in this draft?

Aaron Murray could be a good value draft pick in say the 4th round. (To be honest, I have no idea when he is expected to go).
However, we have bigger needs to flesh out the roster. Nice to have, but a bit of a luxury QB insurance pick if we don't have much confidence in Devlin developing. If we are able to get extra draft picks, Murray becomes more enticing.
Isn't it nice to go into a Draft and Free Agency without a pressing need to find a QB?

It's obvious Miami needs to add another QB via the draft. Matt Moore is on the last year of his deal ( if he doesn't get cut or traded) and Devlin is useless. How high would you draft a back up QB to give Tannehill some competition?

Personally, I wouldn't mind a Tajh Boyd or a AJ McCarron in the third round. Tannehill has shown potential, but this is his boom or bust year. There are no excuses this year. It's time to get it done. He has weapons, his Oline is getting rebuilt as we speak, and he has a new OC. But we also need a fall back, which is why I am a fan of drafting a QB kind of high this year.

What do you guys think?

Devlin is useless? Tell that to some here who said he should've replaced Tannehill all year.

Tajh Boyd shouldn't even be drafted, much less in the 3rd. He's a Troy Smith clone but worse, and Smith isn't even in the league anymore.

I don't agree with your assessment...Tannehill progressed nicely last year despite a bad o-line. I see no reason to think he is not our QB of the future.

With that said, if a great QB slips to you....................

I really don't see us spending anything other than a late rounder as the needs are to many.

I'd consider a guy in the 4th or later:

Murray
Smith
Fales
Garoppollo(sp?)

Any would be a nice project player. Besides, you never know who turns into a star.

Tannehill a bust? lol lol somebody's been hitting the sauce and licking the bottle.

Tannehill didn't falter last season, the o-line faltered, now I have to admit it's time to put up or get out, but this kid was dropped 58 freakin times last season because of the o-line and the lack of a multidimensional ball carrier and a big bodied TE.

All depends on who is on the board. If someone they like a lot is there and if he's the best player on the board then it could be any round from the 3rd down.

Not sure why you think Devlin is useless. He has performed well in preseason and we havent seen him in live action during the regular season. He could be a solid backup for all we know

If Murray is there in the 4th (he shouldn't be), you'd have to give him strong consideration. He's a player with franchise QB tools and production. I like the Drew Brees comparisons (speaking of upside), and if it weren't for his late-season injury, I think he'd be rising up draft boards.

I'd go as high as a 3rd rounder as long as we don't overdraft him.

You see teams like New England, Philly, SF, Denver, Washington, ect drafting QBs in mid-rounds even when they already have their franchise QB - and its worked out pretty well for them.

5th round but if they burned a 4th rounder on aaron murray i wouldnt complain...kids underrated imo
