Seau's contract may be restructed next year but either way he's gone in 2005. His current bonus amortiztion is $.561 and the base salary jumps to $3M in 2004, $4M in 2005. If they reduce the base in 2004 to the minium of $.760M, that will add $.747M to the bonus amortization. $1.308M per year with his base jumping to $4M in 2005. $5.3M is Too much for a two down player that is not a super star IMO. It might be better if he takes a pay cut next year as the Dead Money $1.684 before a restructure is manageable. After a restructure it will jump to $3.924 total for the next 3 years. 2004 to 2006.
