Kaepernick stands behind THE best OL in football. He runs an offense that dominates teams with their ground game and forces 8 or 9 in the box the vast majority of the time. He throws to a good receiving corps that includes a top WR in Crabtree, an excellent possession WR in Bolden, and a true mismatch seam threat at TE in Davis. They are so stacked that Stevie, the thorn in our side from Buffalo, will be their 3rd WR and is being pressed for that role.
Kaepernick stands unpressured for a good amount of his time nd fails to see his targets winning. If his first read isn't immediately open and he gets pressure, he simply runs the ball.
Hell, Kaepernick is David Woodley. If you really think Kaepernick is a good QB then you probably felt the same way about Josh Freeman. Without Harbaugh building a great OL to carry him, Kaepernick is a below average QB.
Give Tannehill that offense and Tannehill greatly outperforms Kaepernick.
That's happy adjusting hilarity. You simply don't understand weighting, the burden of all of your proclamations. Very familiar among the bar stool crowd. They want to make a point but instead of moving the bar a few percent within reason they have no trouble sliding it 40 or 50 percent, if not far more than that.
It's particularly ignorant in NFL terms, where all the teams are quite close in overall talent level, with only a handful of players separating one from another. That's why I'm so desperate to make logical moves to acquire those types, instead of settling for someone like Ju'Waun James. Your argument is like you can't differentiate pro from college, where vast talent gaps can allow players like Tim Tebow or Ken Dorsey to thrive and look like world beaters. I particularly loved the reference to David Woodley, who averaged 6 yards per attempt in his Super Bowl season. Kaepernick averaged 8.6 and considerably higher than that during those playoffs.
Kaepernick has been better than Tannehill at every stage of their careers so far, in college and pro. Believe it or not, that is worth exponentially more than a happy adjustment. For whatever reason there are a number of desperate Kaepernick haters here who have no clue what they are looking at. They might get away with it in that bar stool setting but not everyone here is going to ignore it.
Anyway, Tannehill has an opportunity this year. I hope we give him enough rushing attempts to make it a legit opportunity. The Eagles 32 to Dolphins 23 rushing attempt comparison is more meaningful than any of the Kaepernick or Russell Wilson adjustments.
I have a camper. Maybe it's a boat. The adjusters need to help me out before I wander toward the marina.
