if they continue to play as poorly as they have been, do you think saban will cut one of them? I dont think Saban will hesitate cutting one of them because he is not like wansdedt. If Saban finds a better player he will sign them to a contract. Right now we would be better of having **gulp** fielder playing quarterback. Now its time to get Sage or someone else I have no clue to play quarterback. It might not be a better choice but at least we can see where we are at for next year. Clearly Frerotte and Feeley are NOT long term solutions.

Honestly, Feeley might last until Miami gets a contract worked out with Tim Couch.

I think Gus could last another season, especially if a young QB is brought in, Gus has not looked like he could start, but I think he's a decent backup.

Feeley's not getting cut. I think Saban waits until this season plays out before reevaluating the QB season and deciding who needs to go. Quite frankly Gus is probably gone next year. I doubt he starts after the bye week. Unless our offensive line really steps it up we are probably going to be 0-3 going into the bye. After that i expect a QB switch to take place.

it just amazes me that we are this good of a team and have such a sucky quarterback. If we had a decent quarterback we would be close or make the playoffs!!! The only big problem is we have a quarterback who is better at throwing at the other team than ours.

There no doubt in my mind that Feeley will not be on this team next year because we will not be paying him over 3 million to be our 2nd or 3rd string QB. Gus Frerotte might actually stick around 1 more year because that's when I think his contract will end but there's also the chance that they both won't be on this team come next year, but I think Frerotte will be and Feeley won't.

I honestly dont see why Gus is the starter. I mean sure AJ threw a 51 yard int return. But, lets not forget about Frerottes 73 yard fumble return. sure blame it on the line, but dont forget, Feeley is playing behind 2nd string linemen and he still got it out before he got sacked of fumbled. Frerotte has also thrown an int before, so he aint a saint.

I posted it in another thread: After this season, Sage will probably the only one of the 3 still on our roster. Feeley may not make it through THIS season.

Since Feeley is now 3rd I think you may be right. One guy probably sticks (whoever's cheapest) just because he'll know the system but more than likely two are gone

imo frerotte will be here as a transition guy to our drafted qb, sage will stick, and feeley may not last the week.

I agree with you and post #2 where he said Feeley may be gone if we sign Couch. Signing Couch could give us something new to get excited about for now.

Feeley's too expensive and too erratic. You can't blame the O-line for the many interceptons he's throw for TDs. I think cutting him now means taking a pretty big cap hit but my bet is he'll be gone as soon as possible. He's had his chances.

Feeley is on his way out. He is not Sabans guy, thank goodness. Saban brought in Gus and now is looking to bring in another qb and it won't be to bring in a 3rd stringer. That leaves Feeley returning to his career position as 3rd string qb. Case closed.
