I've been thinking about this for a while now.It seems to me that most of the players they have drafted have not performed up to the spot they were picked. In a scale of 1 to 10 would you guys rank they players this regime have drafted. What I mean is, if a player was drafted in round 2, has he played as that round 2 say they should?.I'll give a try.

Long- was drafted one overall so he should be an impact player and to a point he is. 3 times making the probowl but when you consider that Manning was number one overall then that's the kind of impact I'd want. This one is hard cause Long may end up being in the hall of fame one day but they took the easy-safe pick here. I'll say he's a 9 considering how high we got him.

Pouncy-Not a fan of taking a center at 15. Even Stevenson was drafted in the 2nd round. Not sure yet how good he will be but for now a 7

Henne-drafted in round 2....I'm going to need this whole year to know for sure but for now he's been a 6 imo. Hoping he'll be an 8 by the end of the year.

Hartline- taken in round 4 so I'd say a 7

Bess- undrafted so he's a 9

Murphy- a zero

the skinny QB in round 2 he was a 000

Pat Turner drafted in round 3- 00

keep on mind I'm talking value vs where they were drafted

Langford- Taken in round 3....steady but not spectacular- 7

Odrick- not only taken in round one but cost us our 12 pick in round one and we took him at END where we were already fine- He might turn out to be a good player but it was still the wrong pick imo. 4

Misi- drafted in round 2 needs to become an impact player or at least above average....so far he's neither. 5

Davis- drafted in round 1.....if his play ever matches his big mouth he'll be amazing.I believe he's a good player as is hard to play corner when you have no pass rush but a first rounder- 7 so far but could get higher

Smith- drafted in round 2.....if he could catch half the INT's he's droped he'd be going tothe HOF but he's not.....7

Clemons- 6

Jones- 5 so far

Carroll - 0

Thomas- moved up to take him in round 2...some people here called him a bust before he even played a game, now he's played that game and he looked great. Ran with power and vision.....one for them so far. 9

Wallace-was not drafted so we can't expect much and that's what we've gotten from him, not much 0

Moore- see above 0

this is depresing so I'll stop.....now I know nobody's going to hit on every pick but we have missed on most or are they really good but coaching is stoping them?

Time will tell on some of these guys that are still with the team but so far they have failed at drafting imo for the most part.other than Thomas and to a point Long, they have not drafted impact players. They have some solid players but that is it.

Ireland has avoided high risk, high reward players in the draft for safer picks.

and that's the problem here. Ireland and Tony and the tuna when he was here, they're/were trying to win with a blue print that worked back in the 80's.......I miss the metal from the 80's, believe, I love Ozzy, Sabbath and Maiden just to name a few but when it comes to football you win with play makers, impact players. This stuff about building up front with inside out does not work anymore....not saying you don't need the big guys cause of course you do. But you need impact players and we don't have enough of those.

Jake Long
and how could they miss on the top draft?....he's a great LT but he doesn't get turnovers and he doesn't score any TD's......don't get me wrong about him cause I love the guy but we need play makers to win games.

They acquired(which is just as important as drafting) Brandon Marshall, Jake Long, Cameron Wake, Devone Bess, Randy Starks, Karlos Dansby, and others.

For whatever reason people are really on Vontae Davis. Perhaps it is because he spoke up before the season started. Regardless, he is a an impact player and on the verge of being elite. Leaving 2 games with injuries does not take away what he's done the past 2 years. He regularly shuts down his side of the field. And lets face it, outside of Marshall, there hasn't been many players on this team that have stood out the past 2 weeks(at least consistently).

The problem the past 2 weeks has been conditioning, lack of preperation, game time mistakes, and horrific gameplans. Thats coaching. Thats 100% coaching. We have enough talent on this team to win double digit games. We are not doing so because our coaching staff is so inept.

Just because we are losing games doesn't mean the sky is falling and the Miami Dolphins are the least talented team in the NFL. That honor goes to the Seahawks. We have brought in great talent and we do have elite players. How they got here is less relevant than the fact that they are on the team.
Tony Sparano deserves to be fired because he simply cannot coach. Jeff Ireland deserves to be fired because he has no concept of value and has drafted suspect players. But lets not act like we haven't got talent on this football team......no matter how they got here.

It's easy to miss at the top of the draft as there are countless examples of busts. The pick should have been Ryan who is making a big impact in Atlanta. In terms of elite players in their positions, Jake Long is the lone player that these clowns have obtained.

May be a shocker to a lot of fans but this team has no play makers on defense and only Reggie Bush on the offensive side of the ball. But the problem with Bush is that they don't know how to use him making him an "ex-playmaker."

Brandon Marshall cost us two draft picks and we traded down from #12 in the first round to recoup one of those draft picks (which we used on Odrick). We could have used the #12 overall pick in that draft for Dez Bryant, Ryan Matthews or Earl Thomas. Jake Long was drafted, not sure why you put him on the list, he wasn't acquired.

They also acquired Ernest Wilford, Gabril Wilson, Justin Smiley, Jake Grove, Joe Berger, Pat McQuistan, Bobby Carpenter, Tim Dobbins, Tyler Thigpen and other busts.

And he does not get us 1/2 yd on the goalline either...The next time I hear the announcer say "Jake Long delivered a pancake block that allowed the runner to walk in the endzone...TD Miami" will be the 1st time I heard it.

Don't get me wrong either...Love him too but Just sayen...

I don't think they even ran to his side on that goal line series...did they?

If not...What does that tell us? He is our Man...Our top pick in whom other teams should struggle to match across the line in the defensive position.
