How many years you think RW can hold up?

Long enough to bring home the Lombardi trophy

At this point the only injury of long-term concern is the recurrring shoulder. Of course, Emmit also had the re-curring shoulder and he seems to cope.

Every play could be your last from any position, but without any injury to the knees/hip/spine -- I don't see why RW can't play at a high level for 6 + years. You talk about his miles at Texas, but he only had ONE monstorous year. HE was a damn FB as a Freshman, and Mackovic barely got him the ball. He shared the backfield with Shon Mitchell and Preist Holmes as well.

The "miles" came during the last half of his Junior year, and his Senior year ...

You also have to remember these two things ...

1. While at UT RW never missed a single practice, much less game due to injury.
2. While at New Orleans he was injured his first two seasons ... the thrid season he chose to hire his own trainers and workout at Texas (with Jeff Madden and at home in San Diego with his trainers there) the result ?? over 1800 yards of offense in what was essdentially a 12 game season for him as McCarthy and Haslett lost control of the team etc ...

Summation ?? The S&C program in New Orleans is subpar. RW was unhappy with it and did something about it, since then he has been very healthy -----------------

Guessing at injury is a dicey thing at best, but I'd guess a 10+ year career ----- esp. if he stays in that 1500+ range for a few more seasons in a row.
