How much money are the Dolphins on the hook for Tua?

The question for Tua is simple.
What price do you put on your health, your family, seeing your kids growing up? Is the $40~50m you already have enough?
Coming back, Guardian helmet or not, he will sadly have further concussions.
Health or wealth Tua?

I’m sure he will come back. Should he, that’s completely different. However, he will probably be back for the Patriots game. Big problem is that we have a horrible Oline, it’s just a matter of time until this happens again. Ross/Grier failed Tua and our team by not focusing on the Oline.

I agree! No amount of money is worth brain damage and not being there for your family. I wouldn’t want my kids to see me having cognitive impairments.

Tua will get his $124M one way or the other. It'd be in the best interest of the franchise to figure out the best way to cut bait and move on from this terrible investment. Good luck to them on figuring out how to do that.

Yeah, no doubt… that’s why my guess is 80%+. I’d bet money all day long he comes back in the next few weeks when he’s cleared.. but it’s not 100% like the actual fact of him getting medically cleared.
I wouldn't make that bet.

Why are you so confident Tua puts his life, his happiness, and his family's happiness on the line for an ultimately meaningless game?

I don't about that.
The question for his family is how much money is enough, should he sacrifice his body and brain more for $100 million more for his family. They have to discuss that.
Certainly the rookie contract was not enough money and he was willing to to sacrifice his health for more money.

Also i wouldn't be surprised if the outcome to this is he gets cleared and he comes back and wears a guardian helmet.

Though i really would be against this scenario.
Don't believe all this hope and statistics about the "great" guardian cap. That's all I'm going to say.....

Is there a way to do a Barry Bonds type of contract renegotiation? Let's take a cap hit of $10 million over the next 15 years and take care of him and the team.

Tua got what, 45 million for this year already? Tua should walk away for real, these aren't just your typical hit in the head and get woozy concussions, dude is out there throwing up gang signs on the field. (Sorry that's not funny) but it is 100% serious.

If he does walk away, I read on a CBS article it would most likely be arbitrated and he and the team would settle on an amount. That is what I see happening
