how much of Finnegan's contract guarenteed?

It is probably a team friendly #'s to add a 'veteran' insurance policy in case one of the two guy's we drafted last year are not ready or do not pan out. The guy had skills, just not sure what's left in the tank.

If its only 2 mill guarantee then it was worth the risk. I have no problem with that.

I think this is how Dawn set this whole thing up.

With Wallace/Wheeler/Ellerbe big cap hits happening this year.

Come 2015 for Tannehill's Franchise deal the cap hits will be low for almost everyone else. Plus having cap hit increase.....nice planning.

People like to talk crap about dawn, truth is every team in the NFL will be following her contract structure in a few years.

You can't argue with her ability to plan the cap for the present and future.

Wait till 2015 when the caps start to rise but so will the salary cap so it might be a wash

1. Wallace $13.7 million
2. Albert $10.1 million
3. Wake $9.8 million
4. Grimes $9.5 million
5. Jones $8.2 million WTF
6. Ellerbe $7.8 million
7. Hartline $7.5 million
8. Jordan $6.5 million
9. Wheeler $6.4 million
10.Misi $4.8 million

I wouldn't be surprised if Wheeler,Ellerbe,and Jones didn't make it to 2015
which would be a great reason to draft Pryor or top linebacker to replace
one of the above players

I think that's one reason we aren't spending all our money this year on free agents. They are probably going to roll a good chunk over to next year to cover those salaries, and have flexibility to re-sign/extend the three or four solid guys whose contracts terminate after 2014. We already have $120 million allocated to next years cap, and have to re-sign or replace Odrick, Pouncey, Clay, Matt Moore, Delmas, and Jimmy Wilson. We REALLY need our 2013 draft picks to step up this year. Particularly in the secondary, and need to hit on picks in our 2014 draft. I agree we might well be looking at LB's and Safeties in the draft to be able to shed salary at those positions.

From looks of it come 2015 Ellerbe and Wake hold $0 dead money.

Odds are after '15 Ellerbe and wheeler will be gone. Wallace will have to restructure, unless he has 2 great years. We will be fine.

Damn some of those salaries are crazy.Hartline, jones, wheeler and ellerbe have no business making that kind of money

That's not the average salaries from their contract. Some of these guys made much less than you might expect in the first year of their contracts.

Wallace made something like 3 million last year and will make 17 million this season...

Those number will be small when you consider the contracts that will be given out when the cap raises again...
