Pretty sure the Bengals have something to play for. They can still get home field if they beat Baltimore next week. That didn't change with a Balt loss today. Balt losing today was a big help

Why? Because now the Bengals have less to play for. With the Ravens loss they have the division locked up and are guaranteed a home game. They have an outside chance at getting a first-round bye but I would've much rather they play for a home game vs a road game in the wild card round. Cannot believe you and 13,000 posts do not get this!

We can't assume that the Chargers will beat the Chiefs, so we might need a Ravens loss in week 17.

Dude, if the Ravens won today we would still have to have the chargers win next week. In fact we would have to have BOTH the Ravens lose and the Chargers win.

Now we only need ONE OR THE OTHER. How do you not get that?

And luckily for Miami the Bengals DO have something to play for, which is the 2nd seed. The Bengals are very good at home, they want the rest and home field advantage. You can't assume, or coaches and players are not going to assume the pats are going to beat the Bills. Upsets happen all the time in the nfl, plus the Bengals would really be kicking themselves if they lose to the ravens and the pats end up losing to the bills. The bengals play at the same time as pats so they won't know the results while they are playing their game, so they'll have every reason to play hard and try for a win.
