Hurricane Irma Only thread

RIP to my parents' mango tree. That thing stood tall for 30+ years, producing 5lb mangos every year. I'm gonna miss that tree. I hope Key West and other areas with the real problems are pulling through. We're very fortunate to get the ass end of the hurricane here in southeast Florida.

You never get used to the heat? I couldnt cope with living in Florida. Have been in ibiza for 3 days and im already bored of being hot and sweaty

Though its lovely in the evening

Florida is probably the worst place to live in the US come June to mid October. 94 degree days with 87 degree nights, 100% humidity, rains almost every afternoon, hurricanes, etc. But come November to mid April it more than makes up for it.

Watching redzone
Ya I was going to say. Doesn't anyone have the RedZone, especially seeing how it's free this week. At least I think it's free this week. Of course that wouldn't apply to ppl without power or a DTV dish. :(

We bailed out of Pinellas County yesterday when the Euro Model showed the eye over our house. In the no name storm of 1993 we lost everything, it hit unexpected with the force of a Cat 3. There was just no way I could expose my 6 year old and 1 year old to be sites and sounds a hurricane produces having lived through one.

Welcome to Florida, where looting in the middle of 100mph hurricane winds and shooting bullets at the storm, just makes sense.

It is going to be lawless after this storm passes. No way law enforcement can keep up.

Things are really getting bad for some areas down here, just nothing else to say. Hope some how parts of the west cost are spared, because if it's a direct hit....
