Hyde5: Five questions about odd Larry Johnson signing

Only on FH does it blow up with complaints when the Fins sign someone that isn't the ideal 3rd runningback.. maybe even 4th.

Wow, this is the most controversy over the signing of a 4th string RB I've ever seen. Who cares????

Like i said before the front office doesn't know what they are doing. They do one good thing and follow it up with bone head moves like this one. they probably punishing ricky for saying those things about the coach and gm. Which i believe was true anyway. Chrowder didn't have anything nice to say about Ireland either.

I wonder how much we signed him for because ronnie only signed a 1 million 1 yr contract. We shouldbof got him for depth. Will always be a ronnie fan. I remember shen he ran over that safety in oakland Crazy.

They don't hey? Let's hire a bunch of Finheaven experts to run the Dolphins then!

Best question is who the **** do you want? you don't want Johnson, You don't want Portis, there's nothing better out there, we should have resigned Ricky.

I agree with Hyde except for the plaxico thing, I still don't understand the infatuation with him. He's the same type of WR as marshall and if we signed an aging wr we have to cut a young player with potential to get a guy that only has a few yrs left.

Bigger Question...
Why is it when the Dolphins sign a non-productive guy with character issues its the worst move in the history of the game, and when the Pats or Jets do it its a move with enormous potential upside?

Thank You!!

I personally don't think that this move is THAT big of a deal, but it definitely doesn't reflect well on Daniel Thomas. I also agree that if we were going to go this route we should have just held on to Ricky or Ronnie, and while I'm not Plax's biggest fan I can't for the life of me figure out why we did not try to improve at WR or TE.

Hilliard is better than LJ as of right now. This signing is embarassing.

Im not sure what to think about this. I kept the, "Its cool, he's just good depth" attitude when we signed Columbo, and now he's starting. I don't see that happening here, but you never know with these guys. As a 3rd or 4th HB, I don't mind the signing.

i guess because they know how to pickup FAs lol

Because the Pats and Jets have a proven track record of making those kinds of players better, while the Dolphins do not.
