Hyde5: Why Louis Delmas is a Dolphins gamble

Should everyone simply reply that the move was great and the Dolphins just moved closer to NEw England?

1. Not sure if he is an upgrade over Clemons..
2. He has well documented injury past....in the knee area...
3. Granted he plays all season and something like 97% of the snaps, but he didn't practice...those knees....

I take things at face value and don't simply look at a move as good because Miami made the move....could he come out and play all season and perform well...yes, or he could be Patterson 2.0 and have a season of significant time missed....in the end it would be smart to have a back-up plan in case the latter happens...

This is not Ireland, it is Hickey, there is always a back-up plan. You think that we signed Delmas and not have someone to at least back him up? C'mon. Not asking to take things at face value. All players will get injured, that's inevitable, it is a 1 year contract, it's not a 4 year contract. Let him prove himself.

Michael Thomas: he was great for those TWO PLAYS. The one where he broke up a perfectly thrown ball to Amendola was even better than the interception to seal the game. The dude is raw but he seems to have good ball-hawking skills. I'd hate to see him go be good for someone else.
