Hall Of Famer
I look at it as simple as this. If we are in the situation to draft Matt Leinhart in next year's draft, we should draft him. But to me honestly, I don't feel or have any expectations of being in the position to draft Matt Leinhart in the 2006 Draft. Anything can happen, but it's not something you can necessarily plan ahead for because nobody knows if we could go 2-14 or 14-2. I personally don't feel we will be in the situation to draft Leinhart next year, so we may have to look else where whether it's another rookie like Omar Jacobs, Chris Leak, etc. or even Free Agency. Simple fact is, it's too early to determine what we'll do and what'll happen, but if given the opportunity to draft Matt Leinhart, I personally feel that we should. But the problems that would arise is how we would ever be able to afford him. So you have to even include trading down an option, so many factors are involved here, I'm really starting to understand why Saban doesn't like hypothetical questions.
