I can't understand why tannehill has such a poor deep ball

He did catch the td that hit him in the hands, if your talking about the pass that the db interfered with in the end zone he did what a lot of WRs do, basket the ball in that situation.

How bout the qb hit the man in stride to make it 14-0 and possibly a victory. Nah the qb is blameless.

I didn't even bother to respond to that. Was a clear PI and a good TD saving play by the DB. The refs should of thrown the flag.

But yea, what a joke, hit your WR down the sideline to make it 14-0 and force the Jets to pass the ball more and create turnovers on Geno Smith. I didn't see any other future elite franchise QB's laying 7 points in 8 quarter eggs out there . . . but its all on Mike Wallace and the defense I guess. Forget throwing the QB any blame for his team NOT scoring points. It's a joke.

Well to be fair Luck has had some pretty ****ty games this year. There numbers besides wins look very similar.

How about the WR catches the ball at its highest point instead of waiting for it like an idiot? He sucks. Admit it.

Tannehill is a much better QB than Wallace is a WR. Hell, Tannehill is probably a better WR than Wallace.

Wallace fought for the ball ZERO times this season. His ability to adjust to the ball when it is in the air is actually comical. It must suck throwing to a guy with a 2 foot catch radius.

It's great to see Ryan Tannehill put up the type of numbers that we've only seen from #13 in a Dolphins uniform. But it all matters about wins and losses at this point and Ryan Tannehill was poor when we needed him to be at his best, and to me, that deserves some criticism in addition to the numerous misses he had all year to win games that we lost by just hitting Mike Wallace in stride.

He can prove his doubters wrong next year when he goes into his 3rd season, but after these last 2 games, with what was on the line, he deserves his critics.

There really weren't many occasions where he could fight for the ball. I mean the Cromartie play in the first Jets game comes to mind, but Cromartie is taller and an athletic freak compared to Wallace. I know you aren't talking about the times where "you think" he could stop on a dime and go up for the ball. I find it hilarious that people think that Mike Wallace can just stop on a dime after beating the DB like a drum and contort his body up to try to make a play on the ball when it's a clear touchdown if the QB hits him in stride.

He is a joke. I see WRs make adjustments that Wallace can't make every single week. Wallace has zero body control. He needs a perfectly thrown ball with no defender contesting it. Sorry but that is a rarity in this league and not just in Miami.

The ball in this picture is a FOOT out of bounds because the idiot tried to basket catch it..... AGAIN. If he catches it higher, it is in bounds and an easy completion. He is no help to a QB.

 how many perfect balls did Ryan Tannehill throw to Mike Wallace this season when he was in stride and has his defender beaten? I'll save you the trouble . . . ZERO.

The one ball I remember from this season that was a deep ball that Mike Wallace probably could of made a play on is the one in the Saints game where Keenan Lewis was on his hip and Wallace reached out and didn't make the catch. Other than that, it's been a comedy of errors from that duo, with Tannehill playing QB like a blind cowboy in a 1950's western.

And there is the problem. If it isn't PERFECT, Wallace can't catch it. Your $60,000,000 WR has the catch radius of a 3 year old. Well, I've got news for you. The PERFECT bomb is exceedingly rare. If that is what Wallace needs, he is taking up a valuable roster spot. F him.

Kyle Orton was throwing some pretty deep balls last night.

I sat there thinking, "why can't Tannehill blow this guy out of the water!"

Oh yea, cuz he doesn't have "IT" more than ****ing Kyle Orton.

His deep ball is laughable. I'm telling you guys, Jay Fiedler would've been out there throwing rainbow deep balls to Wallace for 6 every game. Even HE could do it!

Sad thing is we traded Marshall away but that is what Tannehill needs the most. He needs a wr that can go up and get the ball. Wallace needs the perfect pass on the go route.

While healthy Gibson was Tannehills go get the ball wr.

That should have been a penalty on the Jet defender. He armbarred Wallace

I don't understand the no call there......not once did he look back to the ball he only played the receivers arms, just like on the attempt to clay earlier. In my opinion when a defender never looks back any benefit of the doubt should go to the receiver !

I don't think the so-called talent evaluators of the Miami Dolphins understand it either. Or maybe they did and it was Ross that pushed to sign Wallace. I don't know, but there is a discrepancy between the scouts and the FO of the Miami Dolphins in any case.

I call BS. Even Mike Vick can do it. Mike Vick blows. But, there he is laying one out there to a speed WR who dosent go up and make "physical" catches on underthrows. Jackson didnt even get a ton of separation like Wallace has gotten numerous times this year. Vick put that ball in the perfect spot for Jackson to maintain full speed, make the catch, and score with just the yard or two he had his man beaten.

A lot of NFL QBs make these throws....... at least some of the time. The good ones hit these throws plenty. Tannehill NEVER hits these. Thats why defenses do not respect us beating them deep and play the comeback routes on us.

You can find plenty of these plays in the NFL. Its not like I pulled a rabbit out of a hat here. If all you have watched is dolphins games for the last few years with their ****ty QB play, then maybe you think these type of plays are rare. I watch A LOT of NFL. I see these plays plenty when Im watching other teams play. On a given week Im going to see a couple of these plays when watching a few other games. I just dont see them from the dolphins despite the fact we have the best speed WR in the game. Its a disgrace really. I dont think Ive seen a play like that since Henne hit Ted Ginn against the Jests.

Marino to Duper used to be a thing of beauty. If he got the slightest bit behind the defense, Marino would burn them. If he was even, he was leavin.
