I changed my mind they all need to go

i don't think you really changed your mind

well I posted at beginning of season that a non winning season Ireland should go. I said the season had to go really sour to fire Philbin so obviously I changed my mind.
So you are quite wrong.

I respect the way the Steelers run their organization. They do not over react, and they are loyal. The truth is that Ireland has managed the cap well, but he under performs with talent acquisition. I support firing Ireland, but I want Ross to give Philbin at least three more years. I do not care how he replaces Ireland as long as Philbin is extended.

They also don't go 5 years with out having a winning season. Their coach has given them success why should they panic. Hell they need 3 more seasons of this to even be at our level

I'm going to vent for a second....

You controlled your own destiny with 2 weeks remaining. You played the Bills and Jets, ended up only needing to win ONE of those games. How do you get outscored 39-7 in those two games when you should be playing your best football?

Ok, came out flat against the Bills and got shutout. How does this not motivate you to dominate the Jets? You had an entire week to prepare for a team that you already beat! I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, you underestimated the Jets in the first half....HOW DO YOU NOT DO ANYTHING IN THE SECOND HALF?

This team does not respect the coaching staff, the staff can not motivate the team, FIRE EVERYONE!!!!

Ok, I'm done. Thank you.

I have wondered about this. Maybe, they already know what the results of Ted Wells' investigation is and what he has recommended to Goddell. Maybe its worse than devastating & it took the wind out of their sails?

The same franchise thats gets the occasional title handed to them?

They have been pretty relevant under their new coach while we have one winning season since 2006. How dare anyone even compare us as teams lol

I would keep Philbin. Ireland and Sherman to me are the real problems. This team is soft. They can't block and they can't tackle. They can't run for 1 yard when they need to. Even more disconcerting is the inability to stop the run.

Two plays against the Jets encapsulated their season. Geno Smith's designed run that went for a touchdown. Charles Clay's run on 4th and 1. Absolutely inexcusable.

During the game, Philbin was alert on the spot challenge on the catch by Thigpen, resulting in a critical 1st down after the reversal. That's what the head coach should be focused on during the game. The fact that Philbin delegates a lot of responsibility to his coordinators doesn't bother me, provided he is now willing to admit that he doesn't have the right ones, at least with Sherman.

Ireland has provided Philbin with a bunch of soft, finesse type players. Philbin must be given credit for OL adjustments after the Buffalo game as Tannehill had much more time to throw against the Jets.

2012 draft. 2nd round. Ireland drafts a finesse OT named Jonathan Martin when he could've drafted s physical WR who catches the ball with his hands named Alshon Jeffrey. That's why the Dolphins reside in this purgatory of mediocrity.

I can't do another season of Philbin. That blank stare/deer in the headlights look on the sideline. Never do I see him talking to players or units. He spends most of his time fiddling with the buttons on his headset box.

yea lets keep the coach that cannot gameplan versus Thad lewis either time this year.

As if Thad lewis was the issue and not a 200 yard discrepancy in ryshig yards

or the coach that couldn't gameplan versus the Bills period. That cannot create one turnover or exploit a suspect jest team

Philbin took over a team with a decent running game and a Top 5 run defense. He believed his system to be superior, and after 2 years of scheme and personnel changes we now have a neutered running game that can't convert on 3rd and inches and a Bottom 5 run defense. This is all the fault of Philbin and his "system" in cahoots with Ireland. There is no possible way that Philbin deserves to stay; he ruined this team.

I've always believed that QB's, head coaches and GM's deserve at least 3 years for proper evaluation and I still stand firm in that thought.

Ireland's time is up (and has been).

Tannehill and Philbin still need a year, in my eyes, for a correct assessment. Especially considering T-hill had the worst o-line in our franchise's history and Philbin was forced to deal with Ireland's player problems among other issues. The last two games were putrid but a season's evaluation must be that, a full season. Constant turnover is NOT what is needed. That, to me, is what sputters continual mediocrity.

That said, if we hire a competent GM, I hope he has full reign in his staff/player decisions.

Your absolutely right , you score 7 points in 2 games all that shows me that your players arent buying in to what your selling, you can see in the interviews there body language, the writing is on the wall. time for a change

Screw it just fire the whole staff and hire Scott Pioli as your Gm. He didn't succeed in KC but he still acquired good talent.
