You guys criticize him about the orange carpet, but if we had a winning team and the Parcells regime had worked that would have made him a visionaire. Here are some points:

1. He inherited this regime. He INHERITED Parcells, Ireland and Sparano.

2. Tried to go after a HC last off-season. It didn't work out, the guy didn't want to leave the Bay area than had to patch things up.

3. Putted a stop on Ireland on the Orton business. How many franchise QBs are traded?

4. Didn't overspend on anybody. Let the new regime find it's QB and where to commit the money.

The only thing that concerns me is that I hope he learned from his and this franchise's mistakes. I hope he doesn't bring a Gruden or Cowher with Godlike powers, We need a new HC and a new GM and although those guys must have a similar mind set, we need checks and balances, as they say HCs are worried about next Sunday, GMs are worried about next 1-5 years.

He is indecisive. You don't shop for a new head coach while you still have one under tenure. It isn't ethical. Can he do it? Sure . . . but you "don't" do it. It isn't proper and it reflects poorly on the Fins.

**** the comfy experience at the stadium. I don't care about 8 p.m. Monday nighters and clubs at a stadium. The Marlins are getting out . . . you can put bleachers in the stadium for all I care, move us closer, make it more hostile . . . Miami at one time had the greatest September advantage now we are an easy W on the other teams schedule. Fix it.

Don't market a team like the Florida Gators in the Miami Market at your stadium . . . knowing there is a chance the all time greatest Gator could be starting when you do that. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

Hire a Good GM, have him hire a good head coach, force them to draft a QB in round 1 and help us regain our homefield. 4 things that will make him a shining light in Dolfans eyes.

The hate for Ross is unfounded. People just like slinging poop around when things go wrong.

There was nothing indecisive about going balls out for Harbaugh and then offering Gruden 7 million. There was nothing indecisive about offering Cowher the job but not complete control.

It was a lockout season and instead of bringing in some no name coordinator to take the job from Sparano he decided to stand pat for a year when it wasn't even clear at that point there would be football. Remember, Fisher was still under contract at that time, as he wasn't fired until late in the offseason.

I am skeptical of Ross because of the celebrity ownership and orange carpet nonsense, but as far as his football decisions are concerned, he has been fine. If it's true that he told Ireland NOT to break the bank for Orton then it should be clear that Ross has more football acumen than our damn GM and he's not even a football guy.

Give him time, see how this offseason pans out.

I'm not saying he is the reason for the team doing bad . . . but he has given people reasons not to like him, inside and outside the fanbase.

All this celebrity based bull**** at the stadium...

Focus on the god damn team if you want fans.

There aren't enough delusional fans to keep buying tickets.

Again, some of those decisions were made before him and I don´t want a hands-on owner he needs to hire people to get things done.

They did the Gator day to try and sell tickets, terrible move but it wasn't his.

You can't say he wasn't indecisive when Sparano was still the head coach. I mean seriously, was he expecting Harbaugh to take the job and then tell Tony he doesn't have a job? What kind of circus is he trying to run? This isn't real estate Mr. Ross . . . everybody can watch your shady tactics in this business.

And all these birdies talking I don't believe, maybe you do, but I don't. Alot of BS rumors, and alot of assumptions, don't take it all as non fiction. We have clueless beat reporters and they report whatever to gather hits on their websites and blogs.

Ross has no business making football decisions outside of hiring and firing his GM. When he has to step in and make decisions, it is clear he needs a new GM, in addition to a new head coach.

Turning the stadium into a circus has been a HUGE mistake.

Whomever is informing him to do some of the things is perhaps where some of the blame should be placed.

I honestly think Ross wants to do whatever it takes to make the team successful, I just don't think he has the first idea of what to actually do

I wasn't in the least bit offended by his courtship of Harbaugh and then Gruden, and then Cowher. Tony Sparano had clearly lost the team at the end of the year, and was treading water badly. The team was a wreck and really not even as good as the 7-9 record.

It's a results business and Tony wasn't getting results. Guess what, he made out okay. He got another shot to redeem himself and he got paid. Ross was more than fair with him.

Bottom line is that I am not a big fan of Ross for other reasons, but I really can't criticize the way he played the offseason. The lockout made things difficult.

Being fair in regards to the guy running your operation out in the field doesn't really give me a confidence with Stephen Ross in regards to his head coach. Overruling your GM in regards to personnel decisions regarding the football team (whether we agree or disagree with the decision . . . in this case the rumored Kyle Orton deal) is not the way to "own" your football team.

I get what your saying, and trust me I agree with the idea Stephen Ross wants . . . but like The Confessor said I don't think he knows what to do or atleast what to do to start getting the ball rolling. He will get his chance after the season.

1. He inherited this regime. He INHERITED Parcells, Ireland and Sparano.
At the time everyone was freaking out and wanting Parcells to stay. Everyone
was worried when Ross made a decisive move to keep Parcells, and essentially
garunteed his contract whether he furfilled it or not. So, Ross made a move to keep a
"Football man". Now, he's wrong. He would've been wrong then had he let
Parcells walk. He was in a no win and did what he thought was right. Almost everyone
thought it was the right move to keep Parcells.

2. Tried to go after a HC last off-season. It didn't work out, the guy didn't want to leave the Bay area than had to patch things up.
He gets blamed for screwing Sparano, which he did, but he gets blamed for being wishy washy and
not firing Sparano and getting another HC. Go figgure. He came back, made things as right
as he could by piling money on Sparano and drove on.

3. Putted a stop on Ireland on the Orton business. How many franchise QBs are traded?
He was right, and this is the point that some will actually credit him for. Though, if he'd let his
"Football people" run it, we'd be stuck with a crap QB at a high pricetag.
4. Didn't overspend on anybody. Let the new regime find it's QB and where to commit the money.

Everyone posting from mom's basement in Okala thinks they can run a business better than
guys like Ross who could buy and sell them like sheep. It's actually pretty hilarious.

All of the hell he gets over the celeb owners and orange carpet is just bull****. Why poeple
get so upset by good looking, successful people that have made more of their lives than
anyone on this board has owning some of the team is beyond me.

Anyone that makes fun of "B listers" liek Gloria Estephan, J Lo, etc is pretty silly. They also
probably can't name one single accomplishment in their lives that rival anything that the afore mentioned
have ever done.

Ross is just an easy target for people who are upset. People at the top generally are.

I'm sorry but I absolutely think Ross deserves credit for 'meddling' with the Orton trade. Orton is NOT worth what the Broncos were asking, nor what his agent was asking in terms of contract structure.

Ross saved us from a freaking disaster on that one.

If I own a business I can do what I want in regards to it.

If I hire a management staff, they are running the show, but if I want
a certain thing done a certain way, you can bet I'm going to take action.

Don't like it? Pound sand.

I owner. You employee. There's nothing wrong with being part of running the show
if you own a business. I would expect an owner to be interested and involved in his
business if I ran it.

It's funny that people rip on Huizenga for being hands off and letting JJ/Wanny/Saban/Cameron/Parcells crater the team one after another, but when Ross steps in and says "hey morons, you're about to do something stupid, stop it right now" he's a meddling idiot? Lol.
