I don't understand the crowder pick (but I have faith in saban judgement)

The more I read about Crowder....the less I like. I thought Roth had an aggressive attitude...but Crowder seems to not only fight on the field but on the street's...Saban should have picked Blackstock.

As tough as he is, he is still a kid. I believe with a hard coach (Lord Saban) and the right guys around him (Seau, Thomas, JT etc etc.) he will be an incredible addition. Lets look at the trend folks. Stronger than $H|T defense + an adequate O wins Superbowls End of sentence. I believe we have both.

One of the reasons he dropped so low, he does have off the field problems, but obviously saban felt that he has enough reward to warrant the risk. Also saban probably thinks that he can help control this so there isn't much risk.(Aside from the knees).

You never know what type of person you`re ultimately getting when you draft someone. Crowder has a little baggage, so what? I`m sure seeing his old man being in lockup for 20+ years has opened his eyes about making right choices (at least you`d think it would). He`s a good pick I think, I`m more worried about him holding up physically, than anything he might do off the field. Interesting first day for the Dolphins, I`ll say that.

I got to UF and see Crowder out quit a bit. I don't think its as much of his character issues as it is Zook let the kids get away with murder. Saban is exactly what Crowder needs just a little guidance.

wow, he got in a couple scuffles. big f-in deal fishy. you are too sensitive to 'character issues'

When a player gets in trouble three times in a year....get suspended two games...is put on probation and breaks it....your right...I'm sensitive to what kind of person the Dolphins have picked....especially since the winners we have had selected and wore a Dolphins uniform in prior years. Character use to mean something...and so did warning signs.

common you guys remember we are the 4-12 phins to the nfl, and we get no primetime, miami is alot more talented than a 4-12 team, and Crowder is a great pick, people change, dont you think he reads all this negativity about him, he knows but with class guys like j.t and zach dont even mention seau this guy will be in good company, the dolphins is a team to be recognized next year. and why not take mcpherson? i think miami will come out on top with this guy, thats just my opinion , im sticking 100% with saban, and im sure you guys will also.

Hello,

first, I'am really enjoy with our first draft day, but I don't understand the crowder pick, I know he was weeks ago ranked very much highter but with zach and pope at ILB, why pick crowder, does thys guy play OLB ?

thanks for your opinion :)

I would like wilkerson and orton or orlovsky now

let me put it to you this way. we're not going to recognize this team in 2 years.

Curious....if you have good character to start with....do you need to be watched by a headcoach?

you cannot compare guys like cecil collins, (who im guessing you are referring to?) to channing crowder and your other personal favorite, adrian mcpherson.

I agree....better get your autographs now from Taylor and Zack.

heck, i could care less if we fielded a team of 53 rikers island parolees if it meant winning the superbowl

He doesn't have great character im not saying he does. I think he has a good head on his shoulders, just never had someone to discipline him before and got away with anything he did. I think saban being a college guy will be able to discipline this kid and put him in the right direction.

I can't? Collins...if I remember had a checkered past....just like Crowder and McPherson, but for talents sake the Dolphins overlooked it....those who don't remember history are soon to repeat it....or buyer beware.

I sure hope so.

When I read his interview transcript, I was sold. He seemed remorseful towards his mistakes, honestly looking to redeem himself in his future. he didn't seem as I had perceived - arrogant, ****y, ignorant....he seems really nice.
