I feel bad for Tannehilll

Either way, I wouldn't blame him for this loss. He wasn't perfect, but there a lot bigger issues right now (coaching and O-line).

yeah tanny could show more fire...but neither brees or brady did that at the same age...i takes time and realizing you are the man before you become that guy...hell there's plenty of guys who carry themselves that way who are more hype than substance...

The one thing about Tannehill that I don't like that is he has no passion. He doesn't yell at people, he never looks angry, and he doesn't seem to be leading anyone. I wouldn't jump through a wall for him. You see Brady and Manning going off on people when they **** up. Maybe that's just me though. I'm a type A person.

Sure, we but we shouldn't compare a second year Tannehill to a veteran Brady or Manning when it comes to passion or leadership. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember Brady or Manning showing that passion and leadership in their 2nd years as starters. Some things do take time to develop.

And he missed Wallace on a sure TD pass on another deep ball. We've seen this again and again.

He's the QB. He guided an offense that scored 19 points. To say it's not on him at all is showing really low expectations. And to apparently give him credit for getting the Dolphins the lead back overlooks every elementary mistake the Bucs made that played into that, too. You can't have it both ways.

he came back and got the lead back AFTER that miss to Wallace

Either way SOMEONE needs to be the leader of this team, it is faceless right now. We have our flaws but there is a lot of talent going to waste in this monotonous low energy offense. This team needs direction but there's no one capable of directing it.

LoL Cutler. That dude can lose football games too.

Tannehill shows upside way beyond the 'game manager' guy. That TD to end the 1st half was ****in' awesome. I do hate that he doesn't run more, though, but I blame the coaches. It's gotten so ingrained in him to pass instead of taking easy yards right in front of him like even Glennon did tonight. It's frustrating. The 'game-manager' guy, though, would take off and run way more often that Tannehill does. But he probably can't be as hot as Tanny can get sometimes.

I don't know. It's hard to judge fairly when we so seldom have an even semi-competent running game. What if Miami had had the lead late instead of Tampa? We probably would've just gone 3 and out trying to run the clock, and then our D probably woud've let Tampa score late and we would've lost that way.
You're gonna lose 9/10 games where you only rush for 3 total yards.

Bad examples, but my point is this offense (and team) has no leadership. There's nobody guiding this offense. I feel like it's time for Tannehill to step up and be its guide (I understand he is a 2nd year QB). Somebody has to.

Brady wasn't yelling at anyone his first two years. You have to grow into that role.

i don't know that that is in his personality right now though...but it wasn't in brady or brees at the same age either...these things take time...just like a guy becoming a franchise qb takes time when he gets the oline play we have gotten all season...

i mean really can ANYONE look me in the face on that last drive and say that those sacks are on the qb??? other than that always off the mark shouwrong??? ha ha...hell no you can't...

As much as I would love to think Tannehill is the guy I just can not do it.

Thought maybe Tannehill could have run for the score after Wilson's pick. A touchdown there would have been big. 8 point lead. Bucs would have had to get a TD and a 2 point conversion just to tie. We just need a leader on this team. A player that others look to in crunch time to gain momentum.

Tannehill left too much on the table tonight to feel sorry for. Missed an easy TD to Wallace early. Missed the opportunity to run it in for a score late and we kicked a FG instead. Takes two sacks on the final drive and throws a 1 yard pass on 3rd and 28. I feel sorry for the fans that have to watch this team do the same thing year in and year out.

No question Tannehill is inconsistent. Sure there are lots of reasons. He does however under throw, throw behind and just plain miss every game. I like him and think he could be good. He's smart and good character. But he only shows flashes and nothing more. Lots of QB's can do that. Not even discussing the sacks and batted balls today. I'd keep him but I'd be on the look out. Maybe Gruden knows someone!

There's no reason for Tannehill to be at 6.7 yards per attempt in this era with defenses handcuffed. That's subpar, and slightly worse than his final number from last season. I posted prior to the year that we needed him to be at 7.5 or higher. But I would have been satisfied at 7.2

Maybe he'll still get there. It's discouraging. Russell Wilson was 7.9 last season and 8.3 this year. Andrew Luck hasn't improved as much as I expected but he's 7.1 after 7.0 last season.

Those digits don't sound like much but they are all the difference. There are countless top quarterbacks in history with YPA barely above 7.0 but virtually nobody with career numbers below 7.0. I always have to laugh at the young fans who rip Joe Namath due to interception and completion percentage rate. Meanwhile, Namath averaged 7.4 due to tremendous yards per completion, and his peak years were above 8. The career number suffers only because his final two wobbly seasons were below 6.0. Big hint: Don't make a fool of yourself and denounce Joe Namath.

Putting this loss on RT is absurd. Poor O-line play and poor defense were more the issue. The a Defense could not stop the run and our offense could not run at all.
