i feel sorry for our next HC!!!!!!!

The team has been irrelevant for a long time. Do you want it to be sunshine and rainbows?

Screw sunshine and rainbows...I want to see banners and parades in Miami! Hopefully McCoy is that spark this franchise needs and leads us to such glory. That's all I can do at this point really...hope. :idk:

All 3 finalists have some very good things going for them. Each season is like a new game. What happened in the past doesn't mean squat....what matter is now! Now either rally around and support the guy or at least please try to keep the negativity to a minimum! Good lord!

While I did not read the whole post, I would completely agree, I feel sorry for the next head coach.....He is going to SUCK!

My point is people can't complain about the fans whining because this team doesn't do anything to make us happy.
 
While I get the point about some being over the top, I can't blame them all that much because what have they done right in the last 10-20 years? Being the lovable loser gets pretty tiring for people and they want and expect more. I, as I'm sure everyone else on here, will cheer for the team and hope our new HC is the next big undiscovered secret in the NFL. But many go only go around the merry-go-round so many times before they throw up. Sorry, but you are seeing some of the fans losing their lunch and they do NOT what the ride to start back up. You can understand, to an extent, their skepticism.

Yes, and you've got a point. The last few years have been awful, but most of the people responsible (outside of the front office) for that are gone (Sparano, Henning, PP, most likely Henne, Parcells, etc etc). This is going to be a new direction for this franchise...we don't know exactly what McCoy will bring us as HC. Who knows, he could be the next great coach, but if he is a failure, I'll be one of the first ones to criticize him as such. Point being, we don't know this yet and I just don't think it's fair to judge him as a failure before he's even taken the job.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't dislike McCoy because he's unknown. I dislike him because I fear he's a run first guy who sounds like a young Dan Henning to me. Everyone thinks Bronco fans are dumb ***** for some reason, but they don't seem to like this guy. I think they know more about him than Dolphin fans do. I'll support him regardless. I'm not going to abandon ship.

I'll just go into this with no expectations and see where it goes.
 
When Shula was HC, we had up years and a few down ones mixed in. But even at the end of a disappointing campaign, there was confidence that the team was in good hands and every year we had a chance--and that was before NFL mandated parity.

The last time I was confident we were in the right hands two years in a row was with JJ, and even that didn't end well.

They can't afford to screw this up. Any fan under the age of 15 wouldn't have witnessed a time when we were an elite franchise. Ross needs to hit a home run here.

This is an example of how this site is getting worse, with all the pathetic people on here that don't know how to comment on the thread, instead choose to attack the poster for his opinion and view on the matter. I, for one, welcome the new coach, whoever it may be. I want Philbin, but if it's McCoy then so be it. Welcome to the Dolphins and hopefully we become the once proud franchise we once were. Hopefully when we do, we get a better class of fans and this site will be rid of these negative fans!
