I get Tannehill chocked but why are we not talking about the defense?!?!

Because the defense gave up 19 points last week and 20 points this week......not much in the NFL. The problem was the offense

Just because the defense holds teams to FGs doesn't mean it's doing it's job. Offenses takes plenty of blame but so does the defense. How many 3rd and longs did they give up all year? Missed tackles. Embarrassing run defense. Pass rush was non existent in the final 2 games. And the LONG scoring drives given up all year. That's a big deal and shouldn't be overlooked.

It's a team failure top to bottom. All coaches, all players, all units.

At the same time though, they don't make any game changing plays either. How many sacks or ints in the last two games? They allowed 2 mediocre QB's to beat them.

it's hard to win when you score 7 pts in 2 games, you had chances in both but your O couldn't do a thing.

Just want to give you a heads up, we have moved on from sunday's game. So while you try to stir the pot you might want to change your angle.

stir the pot? Seriously? I intentionally didn't post here yesterday to allow you guys to vent on your own which I always do after we beat you and after you guys lose any games I give you 24 hrs. So spare me the "we've moved on" nonsense.

To be a Jets fan it's mandatory to have a low IQ..

And it's hard to win when you give a qb all day to throw. I think the jets probably wou;dn't have scored more than 7 pts if they didn't get geno all day. Geno has played a little better, but he still wasn't that great and he wouldn't have done well if not given so much time to pass. Geno still makes mistake and I feel miami could have forced him into bad throws if they even gave some sort ofpressure to him, but there were so many times he had such a clean pocket and nobody near him.

your QB had all day to throw too. You still need to make plays.

geno sucks...good luck running qb sneaks in the red zone every time you get there...

good for the jets...please do build around geno and skip this qb draft class...please do

Not like GEno did, I watched the game. I swear I could count to 5 seconds almost every pass play. Tanny had more time, but miamis pass rush was terrible and non existent. Plus Geno has the jets run game to help too. Miami had some decent runs, but that was more out of creativity or draws where the jets weren't expecting a run. But everytime fins tried runnijng from a basic formation they got stuff. It didn't help with tanny overthrowing a deep pass and then matthews huge drop just before half. Not to mention to what looked like a first down on tannys slide, and then to miss on 4th and inches and then the Wr that slipped and fell causing the first interception when miami was driving. There were definitely pts left on the field. Miami definitly couldve and shouldve moved the ball more, but it's not like they didn't have moments wherte they weren;'t in position or didn't do things that would've scored them pts. Miami simply as they do a lot, messed up on the opportunities they did have. These were huge misses, as far as what I explained. Matthews catches the ball, he had a lot of yards to run and they would've been in fg position atleast. so that's minus three pts. lets not forget about the missed deep pass..more pts missed. Dolphins were already in fg territory when the first interception came. So that's potentially minue 9 pts, if you consider miami would have only gotten fgs out of those plays.

you may want to watch again. Ryan had all day to throw all game long, geno had the pocket collapse at times and made plays w/ his legs.

yes, the drop at the end of the 1st half was obviously not his fault but that happens. He didn't overcome and made too many poor throws/decisions and cost his team a postseason berth.

I did watch the game and geno had more time to throw for more pass plays than tanny. The team was just flat and there's no excuse for that. The wrs didn't help either nor did the rbs. that slip or stumble from wallace hurt the fins a lot. So what tannehill didn't do, the Wrs would then not do something right either. I like Hartline, but I never thought he was that big of a difference. But miami's offense just didn't look the same once he got hurt, which is not good because everyteam gets injuries so miami needs more depth apparently at Wr. Either way fins didn't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway. Though I don't think the Chargers deserve the playoffs either after needing the football gods to bless them to have succup miss a short fg and them to barely beat a back up chiefs team in a game they needed to win and have breaks too. I feel the Steelers though at 8-8 would have been the better playoff team than the chargers. but oh well chargers got in.

Let me say this, I'm not happy with Tannys play in the last game, but I'm not happy with the horrible pass rush either and the dropped passes from the wrs or falling down causing an interception at a crucial time and the lack of running game and coaching too.

So what you are saying is, Miami chocked?

The defense was not the problem. We got blown out by the Saints and played piss poor defense against the Steelers. That is 2 out of 16 games. The other 14 games we played average to excellent defense.

When you consider how good we were against the pass, how many turnovers we created, and how few points we gave up, when you consider all that IN SPITE OF HAVING ZERO OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION, you should be ashamed to even mention our defense.

Put differently - if we had even an average offense, our defense would have been top 5 in most major categories. Because our offense was one of the worst in the league, our defense just had to hold the entire team afloat. The league average was 23.41 points a game... we scored less than 20 points a game.

Our offense put up less than 20 points a game. Our offense put up less than 20 points a game. Our offense put up less than 20 points a game. Our offense put up less than 20 points a game.
