I dont think I will be ordering my Ronnie Brown jersey just yet....maybe have to go for an Orange Welker jersey or a Matt Roth now. :shakeno:

You think Matt Roth is not going to hold out? Want to bet, I can assure he will not be there at the begining of the camp, and it will probably take him a while before he comes in.

Not every player is a Eddie Moore (In case you don't remember Moore took a lower signing bonus to get the rest of the rookies to sign and report, But WAde Smith and Whitley actually did hold out for a while)

I sure as heck would get a R. Brown before W. Welker. Brown is going to be on this team for at lest the next 4 or 5 seasons. Welker may get cut in TC.

Yeah, its the nature of this business. Just look at how many times greats like Brett Favre have held out. No wait.....I keep forgetting he's a TEAM player and know's he'll get the money because of his accomplishments. Not because of a number. But oh well, greed is greed no matter what light you put it under.

By the current CBA he cannot report to camp without a contract, if he signs a 5 year contract, he will be under contract with the dolphins until he is 29 or at least very close to thirty. Which means that when he hits the open market, no one will want to pay him much money since thirty is such a cutoff for RB, Which means he better get a deal that can help him do well. Plus we have the uncapped year next year, and from what i read that means that his bonus would not be cut between two years but actually just placed in one so if it is a 4M bonus it would not count as 2 and 2 but as 4. Which will probably mean that the Dolphins will try to low-ball him.

If you look at it, a ridicuolous amount of rookies remain unsigned, several 1st rounders where signed at this point last year, but this year, there is no one signed, few teams have been able. There are going to be hold outs and there will not only be our 1st rounder, but our second and third and fourth too.
