I have changed my mind....If Feeley Starts...I will kill myself.

DT makes a catch and Feeley is 5-8 and maybe more as the drive sustains. Too soon to judge, but Ferotte did better.

Now THAT is funny!! :roflmao:

I guess he just 'didn't want to show his hand' last night? Keep 'em guessing until the regular season?

Yeah, Feeley should have rushed the throw against the Bears starting Defense. He should have seen everyone that was open in the half a second he had before he was tackled...........

And you wasted your 1000th post on that?

Gus knows the system better, AJ has more physical tools and ability.

No, he has the physical tools.

AJ has horrible pocket presence, he stares down his recievers and he holds the ball too long. When someone comes at him he acts like a deer infront of the headlights. Why anyone would start a QB with that blatant basic problems is beyond me.

This would be fine if he was a rookie, we could give him a year or two to correct him, but working on a "project" his age? No thanks.

He played ok last night, DT dropped a pass, the o-line looked horrible, but that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't have what it takes. I'm not basing this off last night, like I said, you can't blame him for last night, but I'm basing it on what he can do.

Frerotte is lightyears ahead of Feeley when it comes to intangibles, and Feeleys cement feet simply don't work with our O-line.

Yes I did. Sensationalism has taken over this board. Every dropped pass deserves a cut, every TD catch deserves the first team? Come on now.

Welcome to my world section126. See sig (for the past 6 months).

Funny, I just checked another thread where you said you wanted Feeley to succeed. Now here you are bashing him again. Pathetic.

Granted, some folks go off the deep end with that sort of stuff, but I am basing my Feeley'ings' on last year's performance, combined with no noticable improvement, if not a step backwards, last night... I know it was 17 plays or so, but I saw enough to know that he does not have the 'eye of the tiger', and that he is a bit of a pansy.

Section126 and Touborg with TEH WIN!!

How dare any of us make an objectinal opinion based on play from last night though  Because you know, last night DIDN'T count in assessing talent, it was only the first preseason game  I'm so sick and tired of the excuses here. First it was Fiedler, now it is Feeley.

I have been a FeeleyHugger from the begining but I will admit that last night he was terrible. However, we need to give him a break, its the first preseason game. He has four more but if he keeps playing like last night, Gus will be starting opening day

Feely is still better than Sage or Brock. If guys are open and he has time, AJ can get it to 'em. Sage missed a wide open Josh Davis on 3rd down, killing a scoring drove and Brock's interception at the end was a horrible throw. I think AJ makes both throws.

Every time feeley lets the ball go, i get scared

I get the same feeling man...

I think once he proves himself ( if he ever does) then we might get over that feeling.

He's had 5 years of a break for crying out loud!! Stop with the excuses!!!

Taking a snap, dropping back, and throwing the ball is a fundamental aspect of being a "quarterback". It's not like last night was his first time running those plays, throwing to those receivers, being in front of people, or standing behind that O-line. After 5 years he still has happy feet, still stares down receivers, still chucks the ball when pressure is on (screen play last night!), and still gets hurt!!

I just hope we don;t give him 4 YEARS ala Feidler!
