I posted earlier that Gus did better yesterday, and the team seemed to repond to him more. You said that he maight do better with his jersey over his head. Read my posts before you decide where I am. Oh and Way to prove your point calling me a turdYou anger just shows that I am correct.
Your concept is Go phins, feeley sucks....How does that show you are a true fan? Just because you say you are a fan doesnt make it so. You have to stand by your team and not bash a player, especially a possible starting qb after ONE PRESEASON game. Saying the season is going to be sh***y if they put him in before it starts...Wow....you are not only a true fan....you are the greatest ever. Is your pick at pro-players?
If the preseason ended today I would give Gus the starting job. But it isn't. I am going to watch ALL of the preseason before I decide who they should put in. And I unlike you will be objective.
FYI, Gus did pick a few spots to throw downfield; 40 yard bomb to CC. Given our OL play maybe the 5-8 yard comletions were the best options?adamprez2003 said:It will be interesting to see how Frerotte does against a first string defense and how Feeley does against a second string defense. One thing I took from the game is that it seemed to me that Feeley was attacking down the field whereas Frerotte was happy with the five yard and eight yard passes. It'll be interesting to me to see what style Linehan prefers
There was not one single time last night when he had time to look anywhere else...I timed every pass and each one was out in less than 3 seconds.....he sure would look stupid turning his head from side to side in three secondsBoik14 said:LOL youre joking. This is going to be even easier then I thought.
- The fact remains, regardless of which target he throws to, 1st 2nd or otherwise he stares them down allowing the D to react sooner and flow towards they anticipate the ball going. a nd with the way Aj locks on anticipation = knowing. The fact that the primary targets were open on all but 1 of his throws last night (good job observing that by the way), is a credit to the talent we have at wr.
:roflmao: The route was designed to hit Booker on the comeback, if he would have thrown it early he would have hit booker in the back of the head.....that was a terrible example- Holding the ball too long last night....the booker 1st completion. He waited until the very last instant when booker was open.
There was only one play where he had reason and time to throw it away and he did....keep trying- LOL mobility has nothing to do with awareness. Awareness is all about feeling the rush, knowing its coming, knowing your time frame to either make a play ot throw it away instead of taking sacks or chucking prayers. you dont have to be mobile to step outside a tackle box and throw it away. But that was funny in real life![]()
I saw the ghost of Urlacher too ..and I saw that ghost slam into AJ and throw a forearm at Feeley's head but, I didn't see Feeley look timid ....- Way to give 1 example of AJ not playing scared or timid. I can do that to, like when he saw the ghost of urlacher and when he went for that screen...yeah great job.
i already dumped this play back in your lap...try again...- The Booker completion was a prime example of AJ misreading a D. He had Booker coming open almost right off the snap. Booker's route drove the DB right off the ball from the beginning and yet he had to wait until he had defenders around him to throw the ball around him. The pass protection on that play was $$$$.
you haven't given me one example that is accurate, that he's still making the same mistakes as last year....unless NOT throwing INTs is a mistake to you...which I guess it could be if you'd rather see him fail.Fact is those are only examples of last night and do not even include last year. Too bad hes still making the same mistakes.
[/QUOTE]Oh god, just kill yourself now please. ( http://www.churchofeuthanasia.org/resources/howtodie.html). 'nuff said.
Boik14 said:I already pointed out where I was objective, if you choose not to acknowledge or comprehend that, its your problem not mine.
My anger just shows that its disconcerning how you could be watching the same game i was and not know wtf youre talking about.
again lack of comprehension: I said you should remove the Aj jersey from over your eyes so you can see the game. You fail to connect the two. Literacy really has gone down.
My concept is go phins, get bumb like AJ off the team. My concept is im still here arguing this with you after a 4-12 season. Only a real fan would be here after a 4-12 season. The other half of this board knows for years i posted on espn and sports-boards.net. There is no debating my committment as a fan of the phins. Go ahead, cut me open, i bleed aqua and orange. You just fail to see where I am coming from with regards to aj. Just because i do not like a player does not mean i am not a fan of the team. Its that whole comprehension thing with you, it keeps biting you.
Im not on trial here. You dont need to agree with what i say. You also dont need to like me. But if you want to contradict every post i make the same can be done to you.

I have changed my mind ...
I think it is reasonable to say that gus starts to check down because of his understanding of the offense. He sees the way the D is positioned with regards to the routes to be run and understands that if something isnt there you get the ball out fast.adamprez2003 said:Gus definitely did pick a few spots to throw downfield. Just not that many. My point is that Frerotte instantly starts checking off to his short route receivers if his primary isnt open whereas Feeley will give the primary a split second more to get open. Linehan is going to have to determine which he prefers. It's still too early to say but I think if Frerotte starts we'll have more of a dink and dunk type of passing game whereas if Feeley starts we will have a vertical passing game. I wouldnt use the CC catch as an example of a deep throw though. That was a panic throw that ended up working out (I will say howeveer the underthrown deep pass should be used more especially with Chambers abilities) My point isnt a commentary on the two QBs as much as a question of what style Linehan prefers
:rofl3:Section126 said:Gus looked like an NFL QB.....Gus really reminded me of Jake Delhomme when he first got to Carolina....
Boik14 said:Please take what section126 said in the thread title to heart...Oh god, just kill yourself now please. ( http://www.churchofeuthanasia.org/resources/howtodie.html). Your argument is so sad.Check yours...mines' fine....I've watched the plays over and over again...you're wrong...that's all there is to it.You better check that stopwatch then. And fyi, you dont look defenders off by moving your head when all theyre watching is your eyes. Just something you should learn; may as well teach you as long as i have you here. That's the play that was called, that's the play he made. Ruling in favor of the defendant (that's me:wave: ). Case closed.- The booker play, Booker was standing still when the ball was released. Watch it again, its a perfect example.
you seriously need to watch it again, you have NO clue what you're talking about and i'm not going to sit here and argue about it with you. again, you're wrong. Stop wasting my time.So wait, the play where urlachler leveled him there was no reason to throw it away after he escaped alex brown's rush? Here it is in recollective slo mo: Aj drops back, Brown goes around carey, aj ducks his rush, Aj stands upright, Aj looks around for a few seconds, aj starts to throw, aj sees urlacher, cya@aj.Wow, 3 sacks a game, with last years' line, that's better than I thought...thanks...:up:Same mistakes as last year; you mean like 10 sacks in the last 3 games last year? In addition to the rest i listed....
:m83: BoinkGo ahead, pull the trigger :fire: :fire: :fire:
DolfanNJ said:Terrible? What the hell was so terrible about last night? I swear, sometimes I think that I'm watching a completely differant game than you people. He didn't play at a pro-bowl level, but he was above average last night.
