Seems like a great player, but you can't draft everyone you want! Gunna miss a gem or two, that's just how it is.

Just as a reminder Ray Lewis went 26th in the draft too, or for that matter 5th round Zach Thomas. Besides that...
1) People would have been screaming if DJ went 2. First of all because there were so many people on this board that said they would go nuts if we picked defense 2nd overall.
2) Adam Schefter is full of it. Sure DJ may be having a great camp but honestly, saying that he is faster than Dante Hall is such a joke. Johnson is probably the fastest out of Linebacker, DL, TE, OL, etc. But he is not going to be faster than their WRs or CBs. It is a joke. If Dick Vermeil said Johnson is the best linebacker he has ever seen it must be true. It's not like he is a biased source or anything.
3) DJ had his problems. I didn't want those at the number 2 pick. Saying that he can't take on blockers or that he is too much of a frelancer is pretty serious for his position. Just wait until teams run the ball right at him instead of away from him. Then you might see his true weaknesses.
This is August and every year there is nothing to report on except training camp. I am going to reserve saying that the Dolphins made a huge mistake by passing on this guy until I see him play against real first stringers and for a full game.
Even then I will never say "oh the dolphins should have done this..." because what we knew at the time we would have never considered him. Its like saying that 31 teams are sorry that they passed on Tom Brady. It is just silly.
And please, we all knew this guy had athletic skills it was other issues that were question marks. What's to say that once the season starts he isn't just like Kenrell Bell, or LaVar Arrington, a insanely athletic linebacker that never pieces it together to become truely great.
