It really is us against the world right now and basically everyone is ruling Miami out for a winning season let alone the playoffs. But this is the type of crazy situation that can bring a team closer together. A Locker room that obviously wasn't 100% ok now has basically everyone else rooting against the organization and calling them names and making accusations and wanting them to fail. Miami is just starting to get healthy, they are coming off there best win, and the 2 guys that are gone, although starters, were not having good seasons at all.

This thing could go the complete over way and that is what everyone is expecting, but the football field now becomes a sanctuary for this team a chance to prove the doubters wrong and there is only 1 way to try and sitance themselves from this story....Its win.

Tampa,San Diego,Carolina,Jets

They are all winnable games and we're going to see how close this team really is for the rest of the year. Philbin's job may be on the line and call me crazy, but I think the team rally's and makes the playoffs.

Like they said in major league....Theres only 1 thing left to do...WIN THE WHOLE GOD DAMN THING.

Its like I say the O line seemed to perform a bit better w/out Martin and Incog.

Whether or not they will rally I don't know, but I do know that how the team responds will go a really long way to how this regime will play out. If they crumble and go say 2-6 to finish, then this franchise will be considered the joke of the league and we will all be embarrassed to be Fin fans for a while longer. We will likely rebuild again, and we are looking at 5 more years of bad times. If they play well and finish making the playoffs, all will be forgotten, and next year we will be sittin pretty. If the players have confidence in each other and the coaches, it will show next sunday against a weak TB team.

I could see that. I know it is just a sample size, but the players interviewed today kept saying how they didn't see a problem and thought it was a good locker room. Brent Grimes even said something a long the lines that this is one of the best locker rooms he has been around. Martin and Incognito are gone, but if the other 51 players are still united they can definitely feed off the "us versus the world" attitude.

Then again, there is always the chance things aren't that well in the locker room and this all blows up.

Just to play devils advocate - what do you think will happen if they finish 8-8?? Completely average, yet disappointing?

Rally around what? The players are taking the side of Richie, and Richie is suspended.

Martin isn't there either to rally around. I think if they rally around anything is that the outside world is bashing their locker room culture. If they don't agree and it pisses them off what is being said, that is something to rally around.

Me personally I always want to see the phins win and make the playoffs and win the Super Bowl, however I'm feeling now like we will be an 8-8 team at best this year. That's not saying I want it to happen but just the feeling I have right now. I also think the Dolphins are seriously f****ed with Ireland in control of drafting players and plugging in key pieces rather than over spending on free agents. As far as Philbin goes my biggest gripe has been his Sparano like stand behind Sherman calling the plays, his cronyism I believe are reAlly hurting this team. I hate the coaching carousel we've had in Miami but it wouldn't bother me one bit if we moved on from this coaching staff. If 8-8 is what we end up at or close to it I hope Ross finally wakes up and makes some fundamental changes!

Why would they rally around Martin? They're making it pretty damn clear in their statements today that they are behind Incognito. It's being reported that the sentiment inside the locker room -- asked privately -- is far more behind Incognito. Brent Grimes wife jumped on twitter and was posting some rowdy stuff in defense of Richie.

Now that he's suspended, what do they rally around? The coach who suspended him? Themselves for being stuck in this ****ty situation? I guess that could be the ticket.

You rally around the fact that its them vs the world. You rallya round the fact that the media is painting not just Richie...but the entire locker room as out of control. Questioning Pounce and Wake and Tannehill and the leadership council. You rally around the fact that people have questioned your leadership and respect for others and ability to control a locker room and finally you rally around the fact that generally, the media and general public WANT the Miami Dolphins to fail. It makes this story even bigger. If they start winning it starts to go away, if they lose it sticks around because there is nothing to take the heat off of them. Their painted as Villains.

If I was in that locker room I am holding a players only meeting and saying people are waiting for us to fail, people are saying the locker room is divided and that we don't have leadership, so lets go out there and show them we do by making a run.

There's always a Silver Lining in dealing with adversities such as this. With all our player losses I still say we will go into Tampa and win! Albeit a good hard fought game.

I hope we slaughter the Bucs on national TV. This is OUR team, and I for one would like us to shut the collective mouths of the media.

Another regime change, and a few more decades of misery!!

How does a regime change have to create decades of misery. Every team in the NFL has changed regimes at some point and most dont take decades to put a winner on field.
KC just changed regime and they are 9-0. Indy changed and they are winning. There is ngthing to show that because we change a regime it will have lasting negative affect.
