I get that we are 0-2 and that we have not won a damn home game since the ice age. Trust me, I hate it just as much or more than anyone else.....but people are still way over reacting. I still fully believe that we can be above 500. We lost to the best team in history in week 1. Yeah it sucks but they are the ****ing Patriots. These are the same Patriots that crush everyone and win 14 games a season. Then we lost to Houston who I think is clearly gonna be really nice this year. Yes our head coach has pasta where his brain should be. I like his enthusiasm but he has shown me enough to not support him. I still think we are gonna kick Clevelands arse this weekend. I have been one of Henne's biggest critics, but he has taken some positive steps forward. Is he gonna be a franchise QB....I doubt it but he has shown improvement. Daniel Thomas looked like a stud last week and I think he and Reggie are gonna run all over Cleveland. I think our D is gonna be the D we know they are this week. I look for Henne to play pretty well again. Remember the lockout hurt the Fins more than most teams because we were implementing a whole new offense. WE ARE NOT A 1, 2, 3, 4, OR 5 WIN TEAM. We just have to many good players for that. It is my belief that if we had a good coach we would make the playoffs this year. We clearly don't have that but we still have a pretty solid foundation of a team. If a couple of things go our way ( odds say they will ) We are gonna start rolling. I have always been somewhere in the middle during all of the hater/homer comments. I have never really been called out for being either. I'm just saying that there are a lot of things that could be better with our Fins and it's not great right now for sure....but it's not nearly as bad as some people think.

So...7 or 8 wins are acceptable to you...just as long as it isn't 3-5? Wow.

We have a bad team. Deal with it. 7 or 8 wins are not acceptable. Playoff wins are acceptable...the Lombardi...is acceptable.

YES. I AM A HATER. I HATE ****ING LOSING!!!!

Was that dramatic enough?

Its funny...I was just getting ready to start a new thread before I saw this one asking if anyone else thinks that maybe 0-2 isn't as disastrous as it seems given who we've played?

I think it sucks greatly...and I'm really not sure what to think...but I love football (specifically Miami Football) too much to give up after two weeks against top teams.

Is there any hope that these guys get it together?

I'm worried about Taylor's comments to the Media because I think that if they don't believe then we have no reason to either. But maybe Taylor was just trying to speak up through the media to light some fires.

I'll say this: I've liked the offense between the 20's for the most part. The 'D' has been abysmal, but its close to the same unit as last year which was ok. Carpenter had an off game against Texas, but has done enough since he's been here to just call it a bad game. Maybe the sky isn't falling after all?

Dare I hope?

i said nothing about being ok with losing or being ok with being average. I only stated that we are not the 2 win team a lot of people are making us out to be. People are hurt right now because of the bad start and are being far more pessimistic than needed

Of course we can still hope sir.........now if we get beat by the browns that would be bad. They are not near the team Houston is and they are not in the same realm as the patriots. Hope is not lost yet

We keep losing to the Patriots. We keep losing to the Texans. We keep losing to playoff teams.

Unacceptable even if we end up 10-6. At some point, you have to take the next step towards being an elite team in this league. The Miami Dolphins are SO FAR away from that it's ridiculous. So, no, I don't think we're being too over-dramatic. Most of us are pretty spot on here.

Who cares if you beat the Browns or Redskins. Beat the teams that matter. We aren't doing it.

haha....yes you are right. We do need to step up and beat good teams. We do need to make the damn playoffs. I said people were being over dramatic because there are a lot of people saying that we are a 2 win team. I think saying that is really over reacting. Never said we can't be upset for dealing with a century of being average

I think you are only looking at the surface and not the underlying problems. Although slim, a team that starts 0-2 cold make the playoffs, but this team won't. Over the course of 4 years we have some glaring problems on the field that won't go away. Lack of turnovers, big plays on both sides of the ball, inability to cover a TE, OL woes, etc. These reoccur because the coaching is horrible. Instead of lighting a fire under their *****, Sparano is either defiant or just doesn't recognize the problems. His only response is we have to play better, or I saw some things I like. It has taken Jason Taylor to stand in front of the media and give just a glimpse of his observations. Thumbs up to JT but this is what the coach has to do as well.

It doesn't stop there either. The personnel decisions that are being made are ridiculous and to the point that they give off a strong impression that they are either horrible evaluators or there is an internal riff between the coaching staff and front office. No surprise there. The effects of Ross courting Harbaugh but settling for Sparano are evident. Sparano was given more power in personnel decisions which I am sure doesn't sit well with Ireland. If you recall, Ireland almost quit because Parcells was taking credit for what worked and Ireland was getting blamed for what didn't.

I'll admit I have been really upset this week to the point of speaking through emotion instead of logic. It has not taken me this long to recover from a loss and move forward but it is getting harder for me with each day and I am sure for many fans as well. It's not as simple as being 0-2 and turning our season around at Cleveland. The problems are on the field and behind the scenes and until you clean house, they will continue to exist.

If we lose to Cleveland on Sunday, this team will quit completely and we might only win two games this season.

yeah you might be right.....I don't think we will ever find out though. In my mind there is an 80% chance we beat Cleveland. If we lose to them then I will join others in hoplessville

Like I said in staff predictions, a lot of people here are underestimating a lot of much improved teams (ie:Cleveland).

A shame it's not 100% because that is what it should be. Cleveland is a much improved team and too many fans continue living in yesterday instead of looking at what is going on currently.
