thats how i saw the 1st half going, yes we started 3-0 but bottomline is we can still get to 4-4 with a W on thursday and a favorable 2nd half schedule. i feel really good about thursday. bengals are flying high, just destroyed the jets, they see a team thats lost 4 in a row, theyre gonna think theyre in for an easy game. but when you look at our 4 losses, we easily could have won 3 of them. we can still get to 10 wins, but thursday is an absolute must win to make that realistic.

I actually agree and would have predicted this as well

Yep still all to play for as the schedule eases, Thursday night is big though...

4-4 is what I had predicted for us, but at the same time, this 4 game skid is very troubling.

I also don't think we are going to beat Cincinnati Thursday.

4-4 is ok in my book, but we have to beat Cinci which is the major problem of us going 4-4. This team would struggle against the jags the way they are playing right now.

4-4, people can look at the playoff picture and see that if we win this week (big IF, although this is a game where the Bengals could really come out flat) we're still in the thick of it. We can assume the Colts, Broncos, Chiefs are locks, I'd even toss the Bengals in to win the North as a heavy favourite. I don't think we're winning the division, I think it goes to the Pats. That spot is gonna come down to:

Chargers: 4-3 (opponents
Dolphins: 3-4
Ravens: 3-4
Jets: 4-4
Texans: 2-5
Bills: 3-5

That's how I'd rank the teams for the 6th spot. We've had the hardest slate, and you know what? With a Chargers loss @ Washington and a Jets loss to the Saints we're even, with games in hand against both teams. Do any of these teams put fear into you???? Chargers have the toughest second half schedule in the AFC based on SOS, and had the easiest first half. I think we've been just as impressive to this point as is. Ravens have the 6th hardest 2nd half schedule in the AFC.

If we beat Cinci, then we have the chargers and the bucs, two more games we should win.. At 6-4 everyone on a 3 game win streak everyone would be dancing in the street. They have to put it together!!

who cares honestly what we would have signed up for?

this ****ing sucks.

we started 3-0. when you start of 3-0, you need to ****ing take advantage of that. no excuses.

no one is pissed because we are not 7-0 now, no one expected that, but to be 3-4 after where we started , it sucks.

also, teams that we thought would be tough such as the ravens for example, they have not been able to generate offense to save there lives. they have looked pretty bad, and are fortunate right now to even be 3-4 ( although i do think the ravens can turn it around, but nonetheless when we played them, they were playing like crap, and still continued that crap play the weeks after) and the pats, i know they r the pats, but brady is having by far his worst season as far as i can remember, the pats r without wilfork, mayo, talib, and brady throws for 116 and we still lose? we lose to the bills coming off our bye at home with thad lewis starting. maybe thad lewis has not been as horrendous as i or many thought he would be, but nonetheless, he is not lighting anything up and we let him make big time throws vs us, and forced 1 turnover only.

i dont care what people expected to be quite honest, i guess chief fans should be happy if they were to finish 9-7 or 10-6, because i am sure that is what many of there fans expected, maybe even worse, so it should not matter that they are 8-0, that would still be a good season.

u need to adjust expectations relative to the situation, we were 3-0, had a golden opportunity to do something this year, at least win the division and possibly get a 1st round bye with big wins over the colts for tiebreaker scenario, and now we are 1 loss away from, although i do not want to say ''buried'' but close to being done in the playoff race.

its pathetic and i am tired of it year after year.

For the past few weeks, all we have been able to say is "Well, if we win this week, we're back in it."

Gotta actually start winning to be back in it.

honestly, i think we deff have the talent to beat sd, especially with us being at home, but with the way we r playing now, what is that a game we ''should'' win?

san diego has been really solid this season. they present lots of mismatches for our defense. rivers can throw the ball, woodhead in the flat can be a nightmeare for us, matthews running the ball, gates presents a problem for any team, allen is a stud wr, they present many challenges for us.

with the way we r playing now, we would not beat them. hopefully by then though we have gotten things straighten out. we play 2 more games before that.

Yup the way that the 4 losses has happened is the main problem the way I see it. Also agree and not sure how anyone can feel confident we are going to be able to win on Thursday against a team that is playing better than the last few teams we just lost too and add in the Gibson loss.

Really? You signed up for winning against the defending superbowl champions before the season started? I knew these kind of threads would pop up eventually in the week. We have to shoot for winning every game. That is the only way to become a power house team like NO and San Francisco. It's NOT ok to think that way "i would have been ok with being 4-4 after Halloween". First off, how in the hell are we going to beat the bengals? What have you seen to indicate to you that with our injuries piling up we will be able to beat them? Blind faith i guess.

We need every game we can get. The buffalo game was not ok to lose, the Ravens game was not ok to lose. The game against NE was not ok to lose.

Your line of thinking is right up there with giving tannehill a pass because he's only had so many starts as a qb(we going to be saying this excuse till the year 2020?) and ignorant people who say miami can't cover a tight end. Guess what? No one can cover a tight end like gronk and graham because they do this to most teams week to week.

We needed to be 5-2 right now and until we start expecting that from our team on a regular basis then i guess we will continue being a crappy team that pulls out a good win every once in a while.

Ilove getting real in here.

Im just sick of hearing how the rest of our schedule is "soft" or the schedule is "easing up". We lost AT HOME to the BUFFALO BILLS!!!! Im sorry, but the games dont get easier than that. If we can lose that game, what makes anyone believe that the schedule being "soft" means we will win all of those so called "easy" games. Tannehill has proven that when he plays poorly we can be beaten by anyone.

And besides, as Ilove has pointed out, what we thought was such a brutal early schedule, really wasnt. Baltimore isnt that good and they have played horribly over the last few weeks. I think we are the only team they have beaten in a few weeks. The Pats simply arent good. I know they are leading the division, but they arent playing well. They lost 2 of their best 3 defensive players for the year and didnt have their 3rd best guy either when we played them. They had just lost to the Jests. The Pats are totally beatable. Falcons? They arent good. Thats why they have 2 wins, one of which came against a winless Tampa team. Schedule just wasnt all that tough. We just havent played well at all and thats why we are 3-4.
