i think we all would have signed up for 4-4 at start of season

Ilove getting real in here.

Im just sick of hearing how the rest of our schedule is "soft" or the schedule is "easing up". We lost AT HOME to the BUFFALO BILLS!!!! Im sorry, but the games dont get easier than that. If we can lose that game, what makes anyone believe that the schedule being "soft" means we will win all of those so called "easy" games. Tannehill has proven that when he plays poorly we can be beaten by anyone.

And besides, as Ilove has pointed out, what we thought was such a brutal early schedule, really wasnt. Baltimore isnt that good and they have played horribly over the last few weeks. I think we are the only team they have beaten in a few weeks. The Pats simply arent good. I know they are leading the division, but they arent playing well. They lost 2 of their best 3 defensive players for the year and didnt have their 3rd best guy either when we played them. They had just lost to the Jests. The Pats are totally beatable. Falcons? They arent good. Thats why they have 2 wins, one of which came against a winless Tampa team. Schedule just wasnt all that tough. We just havent played well at all and thats why we are 3-4.
exactly.

if we continue playing the way we r now, the only game will be favored in the rest of the season is the bucs game.

do i think we can turn it around? who the **** knows, i would hope we can see the dolphins team that won the 1st 3 games show up again, as soon as thursday night.

however, things that are becoming a trend are turnovers, sacks, lack of run game, lack of pass rush, no cam wake, sturgis suddenly cant hit a fg, if we dont change things thursday, this team will prob finish no better than 7-9 again.

the optimist in me wants to say we do turn it around. we shall see.

If we beat Cinci, then we have the chargers and the bucs, two more games we should win..

i dont think you can call the chargers a should win game. even at home. home field matters not to the fins. dude we couldnt even beat the bills...i think its probably the chargers that are looking at that game as one they should win. one of the easier road games theyll have this season.

Signing up for it and accepting it are two different things. Been too long where a lot of us (including me) accept 4-4. This team should be 5-2 at least solely based on what has happened to this point. We have been lucky that the teams we have played have under achieved to what we thought. (see colts, falcons, patriots, ravens) then piss away a very winnable game against the Jills. I am all for positive and seeing a chance to turn this around, but we wasted a great position and are currently on life support.

also, to the op, who would have signed up for 4-4 at beginning of season?

i am pretty sure i predicted that after 5 games, we would either be 4-1 or 3-2.

with predicting that, if you want to say i would have signed up for 5-3 pre season, then possibly, but 4-4 no way, and deff not after starting 3-0.

teams go from irrelevancy to relevancy very quickly these days in the nfl.

its really sad how our 1 playoff season in the past 10 years has been only due to the jets being dumb enough to just dump pennington out on the open market knowing we needed a qb desperately.

without the jets getting favre that year, we dont get pennington, and we are now sitting on 11 seasons without being in the postseason and going on 12. this a team that did not know what missing the playoffs meant no to long ago.

4-4 wouldn't have had me buying lower bowl season tickets.

browns W
colts L
falcons L
saints L
ravens W
bills W
pats L
bengals W

thats how i saw the 1st half going, yes we started 3-0 but bottomline is we can still get to 4-4 with a W on thursday and a favorable 2nd half schedule. i feel really good about thursday. bengals are flying high, just destroyed the jets, they see a team thats lost 4 in a row, theyre gonna think theyre in for an easy game. but when you look at our 4 losses, we easily could have won 3 of them. we can still get to 10 wins, but thursday is an absolute must win to make that realistic.

It's not that simple. Yes, we might have signed up for 4-4 if the four losses were going to come from superior teams. But after starting 3-0, then sliding to 3-2, then losing to the Bills after we had two weeks to prep for them, it's very difficult to see a positive outcome to this season. It's not the record that's demoralizing, it's where and how the losses happened.

At the end of the year, they dont ask HOW......they ask HOW MANY. It doesn't matter how or where you win or lose. Just that you win MORE than you lose.

Looks decent however I would not have signed up for 3-5. Which is what we are going to be. That's a big difference from 4-4.

your right it does not matter how u lose, but whom u lose to does matter, in terms of tiebreakers.

Absolutely, and I feel we must beat the Bengals, Jet's at least once, and SD in order to have a shot. However, any of these teams are capable of a four game losing streak just like we are. Losing four games sucks, but lets not forget we started out 3-0, enabling us to not be completely crippled by this string of losses. This is the NFL and quirky things happen every game. We are still very much in the conversation.

Oh great another happy with mediocre. We were 3-0. We have not won in over a month, and more then likely lose to Cinci. 3-5 Bitz, another year of suck if we lose Thursday night. Regression and Settling that smells like the Dolphins
