I Think We Tweaked Our Logo!

Wow, I just checked NFL.com and you guys are right. Too coincidental that only those four logos change. -Although I will say that only the Dolphins one actually pops up another image (which Nublar is correct on: it's just a smaller version of the current logo).

I was firmly of the opinion that no changes were coming, but this is interesting. Maybe the new logo is for next season, and that is why it is being kept under wraps. Hopefully we find out soon.
 
actually there is no logo change. It's a flash effect. if you look at it, the logo "grows" when you hover over it, while the smaller logo that you hover over stays, so what you're seeing with the second, inner ring is the small logo sitting behind the highlighted bigger logo

No, they keep these things under wraps for the most part until they unveil them.

but that would usually be done by now. but minor tweaks are not always revealed publicly, like the thinning of the drop shadow of the jersey last year.

He's talking about when you mouse over our logo at the very top where it shows every team. It has that fade effect for every team but when you mouse over ours the sun in the logo changes. Kinda reaching if you ask me, but whateva.

We have kinda established that, but what is weird is that it moves at all. None of the other 32 teams except for the 49ers, Dolphins, and Jaguars (all of which are rumored to be changing logos this offseason) move, they just become lighter. So the movement is what is intriguing.

That was made public well before it happened. The team has already said they won't change them this year, and the ones that were expected to change have already been announced.

Looks to me like they are just bringing back the older sun rays if the Madden shots are correct minus the logo being too large
 
That is almost certainly a mistake, which is a shame because it's what I've always wanted...a combination of the new design and the classic.

we and the other teams that changed this yr the only ones with this effect on nfl.com? they are professionals...those guys knwo what theyre doing on that website.

yes it shows 2 of them....one being larger. the point is....the 2nd image (larger one) that we are seeing will be the new one!!! MINUS the old one within...

were not going to have 2 suns, ignore the one within, imagine the largest being there alone...and then refer to the madden pics. THATS OUR NEW LOGO!!!!

madden is saying that theyre working on making it smaller because they ****ed up and revealed it too soon. theyre covering their ***!!!

i just hope we'll see it on draft day:woot:

I agree I think that in combination with the Uni Watch report a while back, the logos/links on the nfl.com site, and the Madden pics add up to more than just speculation. It doesn't matter to me personally, I'm just saying. However, I do think that a combination of the old and the new would be pretty cool
 
even with the larger sun that appears on nfl.com, it is still much smaller than the madden logo. the head is still on the outside of the nfl.com logo, its inside the madden logo. i dunno dudes this could be a pretty big reach, but its fun as hell to talk about. bring on the draft!!!
 
after seeing the draft update on sportscenter now, i can say that there is no new logo. the camera panned across the the place and showed the banners of the divisions. and the afc east had the same old lovable dolphins logo. they'd have to have an updated version if there was any change. maybe next year!
 
I have to agree this is just too much about this to be a coincidence.

First the Uni-watch thing that talked about our logo... it was correct about 9ers and jags. It said a MINOR change would happen.

On NFL.com, that "flash effect" has not always been there. I click there all the time and I cannot ever seeing that effect. The fact that all 3 "move" is there while the others don't. If say some other logo moved too it would be more believable of a coincidence but its clear as day the only logos that move are the once experiencing changes.

The madden thing is interesting. With their game all but finished with the exception of the draft picks going onto the teams, its strange that they would leak shots with a logo "mistake there. That game has been done forever and they just wait until the draft to finalize and send it into production.

The only thing that I dont understand, is why would the jags and niners logos move on NFL.com when they updated their jerseys, and not the logo. Like, what would be the purpose of having those logos move.

This is really interesting I'm excited to see what happens.
