Will someone tell me why Egnew and Olivier Vernon have not been signed yet. We have 3 days until practice begins. There's no reason these guys shouldn't have been signed a long time ago. Is Dawn Aponte screwing things up or what??!!

I didn't realize Dawn Aponte had become our new GM. :ponder:

Only Miami fans go after the accountants instead of the general manager. You know, the guy who chose those draft picks in the first place.

I would love to see what the average Miami fan thinks a general managers job actually is. So far, im fairly certain its just to play golf and fly on planes with our owner.

In Miami ... Screw the roster up? :confused2:

And here you didn't think I was paying attention!! :rotfl1:

Offset Language is the one to blame, I hate that guy

Does anyone knows what offset language means?

As long as they're in before camp it's no big deal, but in reality what are the odds of that happening now? The defense of Jeff Ireland on this site is baffling.

I think some are panicking over something that doesn't need panicking. In past years the Dolphins have taken a couple of draft picks down to the last minute, but usually Ireland gets his guys into camp. Henne missed the morning practice of day 1 in 2008, but was signed in time for the evening practice. I think Pouncey last year missed one day. Other than that, they all have been in on time, and I don't expect it to be any different. Vernon and Egnew will be signed for the start of camp, no doubt in my mind. Their contracts might come today, but will definitely be done by Thursday. I also expect that Tannehill will be there on time, but maybe he misses one day. Nothing to flip out about at this moment.

What do you mean by that? The odds are them being in camp on time is much better than them not being there.

I expect everyone to be signed in time. Nothing wrong with negotiating until the last minute. Of course poeple will call for Irelands head, but he's doing the right thing in trying to get the best deal for Miami. Its only a problem if the players miss camp, which the have not.
