I want Josh Gordon

I agre with CK on this. Don't be fooled by the 40 time he just put in. He's had very little time to prep for this and has had a lot less help for sprint coaches as compared to those who were at the combine. Not to mention the 40 times tell you only who's the fastest guy in shorts with no pads sprinting a straight line. I'd be more interested in knowing how his route running was and how well he caught the ball. The other big concern is the "head". A lot of questionable issues surround this kid off the field and we better be sure he won't flake out on us. In the end, I don't see Ireland (who's not a big risk taker) spending a draft pick on this kid for anything more than a 6th rounder. I'm not saying right or wrong, but just his M.O.
 
I am intrigued but afraid that unless the Dolphins bid a second, they won't get him. A third would be ideal because of the extra pick from the Marshall trade but I suspect the Browns or Rams will get him with a third.
 
Buffalo got the top pick in every round of the draft. My guess is that is where Gordon will be headed. Miami got the 4th pick.
 
Cleveland has been rumored to be hot oh him. Whoever snags him is taking a major character risk. I wouldn't go before the 4th, and even then I am strongly worried about the risk.
 
ehhh...i'm sure if we burn a 3rd rounder he's got a better shot at being a good player than michael egnew...ha ha
 
Cleveland got him in the 2nd. Only way for Miami to have grabbed him would have been for us to bid a 1st.
 
Cleveland took him with a second. Major reach. They were ahead of us in the second so we never would have gotten him.

A little weed is never a major character concern for me. Aaron Hernandez, Percy Harvin... these are all guys that fell to value picks because old white people can't stand the thought of people smoking marijuana and freak out.
 
I would have liked to have had him but a second is too much for a guy with that much baggage. I would have been alright with a third, because we have another pick there, but not with a second. Oh well, we are no worse off than we were yesterday!
