My impression of this draft was that Hickey had several coveted players stolen right from under his nose on 2 or 3 occasions, picked just before we were on the clock. The Moses thing was the best example.
When you have the #1 guy at his position and on your own board and it is your biggest position of need on the whole squad sitting right there for you, and you're on the clock, it is NOT time to get cute. Don't talk to me about "value"... I WANT THE GUY.
ireland trades down, watches the Chiefs steal Jones, and drafts an acorn at 27-30.
Several draft "gurus" in here knew our needs and our board. I saw sigs with Round 1- JuWan Jones, 2- Jarvis Landry, 3- Billy Turner made BEFORE the draft. Guys knew what Hickey was gonna do and NAILED IT. He got who he was after. Sometimes it was Plan 1A, but it worked.
Now they just have to develop.
BTW OP, I fail to see the sterling virtues of Trai Turner and Martavis Bryant. These guys DROPPED to 125-150. And you didn't lose it if you never had it in the first place.
