If Dennis Hickey was a better trader we could have had...

This is a garbage post. The reason why I brought up perceived notions re: James is that in a trade down, perceived notions are critical. Well, it's almost a universal opinion among those who cover the draft for a living (as opposed to your inane comment about basement dwellers) that while Ja'Wuan James is a very good football player, he was a significant reach at #19 and almost certainly would have been available at #27.

The rest of your post about people criticizing Hickey's draft day moves because they have an agenda for him to fail is an even higher caliber of garbage.

Only factual thing in the dozens of repetitive posts on the topic.

Dude, this is a freaking online football website. It is chock full of, by its very nature, opinions. Of course I have opinions of where players should be valued, because I've spent a lot of time researching them and (gasp) I'm on a football website discussing my subjective opinions of players and those of other posters as well. I have my guesses as to where players should be valued, but that's a far cry from me thinking that I know where they should be valued. That's just your ignorance shining through that leads you to believe that. For example I saw James Gayle as a likely 3rd rd pick, maybe a 2nd rd pick. And he was drafted... nowhere. So did I know or think that I knew where Gayle would be drafted? Of course not.

Some days more than others I'm struck by the absolute stupidity and ignorance to be found online. This is one of them, and your post should be earmarked as a template for it. I'm on a Dolphins website discussing the draft, I share my opinions and therefore I think that I "know where players should be valued". Gee, what a special post that takes you right to the land of the galactically stupid, thanks for sharing.

I'm struck by the number of posters that try to pass off opinions and conjecture as facts. Just my opinion, though.

No one on this site or any of the so called experts actually no players value. Sure they know most players but when guys like Tiny Richardson, Johnson from LSU and Dion Bailey go undrafted, no one knows. Moses dropped tons even though some were saying he could go much higher. This happens evey year. If James plays well day one who cares where we picked him. We needed a RT and now we have one. We'd all like more picks but lets hope what we got works for us.
