If Dolphins trade down with Dallas, Tannehill will be gone

So good news if we trade with Dallas then? Hope the Browns take him or any one but the dolphins take him.

im surprised how many of you want Jimmy Clausen 2.0 might as well trade with the panthers right now

Clausen is a bum and played for a terrible team. Montana was the last good qb from Norte dame . How can you say Tannehill wouldn't be a good project for a year then turn him loose, aka Jake Locker. You don't need a quarterback to help this kid develop. He has his college coach and Joe Philbin who helped develop Rodgers and Flynn. Clausen had nobody. Unfair comparison

you could probably pull this off provided claiborne doesn't go to minny at #3...cause if that happens and lets say tampa can't trade out of #5 or even if they do with say buffalo coming up for kalil tampa is probably gonna take kcs guy in kuechly...and if tampa takes kuechly i could absolutely see kc taking tannehill at #11

I'm just saying if he is so good why didn't the Redskins give him a look he is the the 3rd best Prospect & only has 19 starts rest he was a WR.

He has his coach here yes but that means little to nothing he could barely win in College.

main point is 3rd overall QB prospect in the draft is not worth a 8th overall pick you draft the best player available.

& the panthers Comparison was mostly Due to QB situation via Matt Moore i rather give Moore a chance if it doesn't work out this season oh well you could end up with Barkley or just a overall better Prospect than Tannehill the WR/QB.

Who knows Tannehill could be the next Matt Jones  "joke"

...or the next Aaron Rodgers...

I like the trade isea. Pick up a pash rusher or WR at 14 and use the extra pick and a 3rd or 4th and trade back into first round and grab Weeden.

Though you never know. On Boston radio there is a mock draft webiste guy talking about Tannehill to Miami in the 2nd round...

Picks 10, 11, 12, 13 are Bills, Chiefs, Seahawks, Cardinals.

An argument could be made that all of those teams could pick a QB. I really feel like one of those 4 would take him before the Dolphins would pick at 14.

If Miami passes on Tannehill, he'll fall like a rock into the second round where he belongs. He's NOT that great a prospect. If the Bills take him, I will be royally PO'd.

No franchise QB has ever spent the first two years of his college career playing WR!

:hi5: Bills Fan knows what he is talking about.

he will fall to the 2nd & then dolphins can take him so 50% of the fans don't get butthurt but a 1st let alone 8th overall on a WR/QB you're delusional like the Dolphins Front Office.

He could be Pat White this year if the Dolphins take him in the 2nd :woot: Maybe catch some balls from Moore.

Here's my problem with this whole "Mike Sherman knows best" concept. Ryan Tannehill essentially cost Sherman his job. Why would you trust the guy who got himself ****canned by putting his eggs in the Tannehill basket?

Did you forget that we have Sherman who has been known to breed Quarterbacks. Oh and Philbin coached these guys called Rodgers and Flynn. I trust this organization will make the right call on Tannehill and develop him

I see what your saying but we dont know what Flynn can do. He played in greenbay with a ton of talent and sat 3 years behind a great QB. We will see this year if Philbin can breed QBs like your saying. And tannehill couldnt even beat out a not very good starter in college his junior year and has only really started 1 full year at QB, what makes him so good. Hes too raw and stares down WRs much like Henne and doesnt even have the arm Henne has to try to squeeze a throw in a small window. The 8th pick in the draft should be a guy that comes in day one and makes an impact on this team. He is not it plain and simple and if you believe he is then i have a bridge to sell you. If he can come in and be an impact player/starter day one then hes not worth a top ten pick.

100% agree with plex and I think the developmental time we give to Tannehill could produce very similar results with Weeden (only difference is 2 -3 years less career time) AND we could still cop a good pass rusher/reciever in the first round who can have immediate impact.

I also think you could make just as good an argument that all four of those teams would pass on Tannehill. The Bills have just given Fitzpatrick a long term deal and he is a young QB. I think they will show him some patience. The Seahawks just acquired Matt Flynn,,,,,why draft Tannehill? The Cardinals likewise have a lot of money invested in Kolb, who is also a young QB. Maybe the Chiefs would be interested in Tannehill, but they have Casell, Palko, and Stanzi. I think they need o-line depth and a nose tackle or a TE.

I didn't realize the defense folding in the second half, on numerous occasions, was the QBs fault. If you don't like Tannehill at least use rational points.

Guys for all we know Sherman may not want Tannehill at all. He said Ryan was good on the record but in private maybe not. Kind of like the Flynn deal. if so this was an EXCELLANT smoke screen for whom they really want.

Now there's something to think about... Maybe they'll draft Riley Rieff instead! (ducking)

Make the trade. It is possible to pick up 4 impact players between 14 and 51. That could make a very big impact!!!
