If I have to read one more QB debate....
I'm going to snap. We have played two preseason games. Last year at this time, there was no winner. In fact, all through preseason, Fiedler and Feeley were even. When it came time to play games that actually mattered, Fielder was 1-9 and Feeley was 3-5. If Frerotte starts, I have no doubt that he'll be replaced soon.
I cannot think of a single good reason why Frerotte should start. Common sense tells you that if these guys are at all close - and they clearly are - the younger guy should start. If we don't play Feeley, we're not going to get *anything* of value for him. Frerotte, to start, needs to be head and shoulders above Feeley, and there's absolutely no indication of that in two preseason games.
Wait until Week 5 of the preseason to make this judgment.

If he doesn't think he can be a quality guy let him go and call the 2nd pick a write off. Hopefully people are now in place where we do not waste more senseless picks on bust's or never will be's
Dolphination73 said:I trust Saban to make the right decision as far as selecting the QB starter but I can honestly say that if he just hands the job over to Gus right now based on what he's seen so far (and let me emphasize "so far") I will be a little disappointed based on the reasons stated above!

The insanity has to stop!!!
Gus has the advantage, they are both having a fair competition, so get over it!
