If ross isnt going to do anything just EFFING announce it...

What I want to know, is if anyone here who wishes to get rid of everyone, has a job where they run an organization? Because I might be willing to listen to what you have to say moreso than just about anyone on here.

in fact, I wonder if any of you actually have a job or wish to work in one.

Just wait, Chip Kelly will go down in flames once the league figures out his scheme. But as for now, he's a genius. Its not what you do in year one in a crappy division. Its what you do over 3 years.....or maybe two.......or maybe one (Browns)

I really cannot read this supposed sentence.

I never claimed it was a sentence. Just saying that anyone thinks that fans that have waited six years for Ireland to build a winner are being unreasonable to want him fired is beyond insane.
He has built the offensive line 3 times to the mess it is. He has went from running back to running back to mess we have. He built a solid linebacking corp only to go cheap for one year and be worse.
Jesus just bring on the next guy. Im not sure how many years a GM is supposed to be given but six is quite enough

Well what about what you have done for 6 years lol.

Well, I have steadily moves along in my job to the point where I have a third week of vacation. Working at 10 years so I can get my fourth.

That way, I can spend more time on here telling my owner who I think they should get for a HC and GM.

But my point wasnt about Ireland. It was about it doesnt matter who takes over, eventually we will be right back here talking the same noise.

Lets not compare an NFL staff to regular jobs or running a regular company.
I do know most companies would not settle for five years of losing money and mediocrity.
Most companies would look at the drastic reduction in attendance and say we need a change.
The dolphins attendance has never been to this level in the modern era. Just a few years ago there were 10,000 more people buying tickets.
I know in the army if a commander has been subpar for this long he would be replaced

why because its impossible for us to ever win. I don't get why you think that the only solution is to keep the same GM for a 7th year, that no other option can possibly produce a winner

Its not that I am against firing Ireland. If the man says he has to go, Im all for it. Because I think then he might have talked to someone who might have a clue what to do and he will do it. Otherwise, I would like my QB to continue to develop with a much better Oline and a big TE who demands double teams in red zone and a coach who will continue this development in the same system but with better personnell who wont quit on the team because of a text mssg bully who is gone too and actually see what my potential franchise QB can do to take us to that promised land.

if it all fails in year 3, which is the beginning of time it takes to turn a failing organization around, then you make the move and start all over. Everything is hitched to RT.

But change the OC, we know that aint workin. Ireland has not drafted one bust in the first round, and its not about getting probowlers, its about getting good team guys who can do their job. Everyone misses on players. Even the great Bill Belichick.

and people on here think that if the new GM comes in here he will clean house. I would dispel that notion and its a very good reason why the owner will wait and let it fall or succeed next year.

The precedent to get rid of Ireland happened long ago. Nothing will change in that regard as it pertains to this message board. Even if we went to the super bowl, people would still cry for his head. Its a precedent to get rid of Ireland at all costs. But I am not the guy who writes the checks. So now he is the idiot.

ok got it.

Im pretty damn sure that if we had went 11-5 you would not have 90 percent of the board calling for his head.
He hasn't done the job not sure why you feel people have an agenda besides hoping to get someone who will do better

It has failed in year six not sure why Ireland should get a pass just because we changed coaches. So because all of his busts have been in round 2 and 3 that makes him a good gm.
Yes everyone misses on players but not many Gm's get six years to produce 5 straight non winning seasons based on a lot of his damn recommendations.
So you want to fire Sherman because the offense has not improved in 2 years but don't want to fire the Gm that has not improved the team in six years.

I would present to you that we could have easily been 11-5 had Martin not been such a poosie and a liberal jackhole and Sherman had a clue about using RT in a better way throught the course of a 60 minute game on a regular basis. We were that close.

I am not sure if that is on Ireland. Sure Ireland sucked his first two years, but at least he hasnt drafted a bust in the first round. At least he got better and scored on guys late who are now playing very well.

Yeah he sucked with Wheeler and Ellerbe. Yeah he sucked with the Oline over time.

If I were the owner, I would consult with Philbin and others and check their pulse on Ireland. If there is a problem or any hesitation, then get rid of him. Because I dont think Philbin is going anywhere people. You just have to hang on another year. step back. take your poison and get through the pain.

This ends up being about RT. Thats what anyone outside this organization is saying. Former HC on TV calling today's firings crazy after one or two years.

You can change everything all day and night, but if you do not have a great QB, you will go nowhere in this league. At least Ireland hitched himself to one potentially. I just would like to see where it goes.

Ireland has a bad draft and cant get Oline to fix it, we will be mediocre again. Blow it up then. Ireland has not drafted a first round bust. At least not yet.

That depends on if you think Misi, Egnew, D. Thomas, John Jerry, Brandon Marshall are busts. Apparently you do.

i wouldnt call them busts. I would call them average overall.

I want to fire Sherman because its obvious he doesnt want to run a bootleg when everyone in creation knows this is where RT shines. He isnt going to change that. He is an old man living in the old school way. He will just think he has to get better on Oline and get better RB and then he will continue to be in shotgun 70% of the time which gives a Defense too easy a read to sack his ass multiple times. Sherman didnt learn anything from games 4-8 in the end. He went right back to it on a rainy day in Buffalo. Do you think just for once, that running RT out of the pocket and misdirecting using TE's that would not have helped?

Yeah, I want him gone. He cant think outside his box.

so because he drafts multiple 2nd round busts that's better. Why would you ask a coach to make your decision on your Gm. Im pretty damn sure Philbin doesn't want a Gm change because his job would be more scrutinized.
So yea lets preach the one more year thing again, its worked so well in the past.
We have yet to hire a GM and let him actually make the choices so why not do something that we haven't tried.
Every other time we have handicapped someone by making them retain somebody or gave a coach too much power

Im not changing your mind or anyone else's Dlockz. Its all right. Your allright by me man.

Well just the same as I want Ireland gone because he has worked on an oline for 6 years and the final result was a soft azz oline that set a record for giving up sacks. They were on pace for more sacks before the Martin Fiasco.

He started with a solid oline that his boss set up for him and turned it into our biggest weakness,, congrats

I have been consistent and im tired of waiting till next year and other half azz moves.
Six years is plenty of time to give a Gm

the waiting is maddening. I would rather get the gut shot so I can stop worrying about it. He has to know if he is firing Ireland or philbin by now, most likely he isnt, so announce that the team is going into its off season...dont do what you did to sporano again...

You cant just pretend that everything is business as normal...

You don't "announce" anything when you don't make moves. When you go to to work everyday does your boss make a formal announcement he hasn't fired you today?

One: why do we need to be mediocre again to make a judgement on Jeff Ireland? Isn't five years of mediocrity enough?

Two: Ireland does have a first round bust. His name is Dion Jordan. He spent a #1 and a #2 to get him. Number 3 pick in the entire draft and the kid can't get on the field and does not make any immediate impact. Number 3 picks in the draft are expected to make an immediate impact, particularly on teams that haven't seen the playoffs in five years. By that measure the kid is a bust.
