If the Dolphins solve the tackle positions in the offseason, will that be enough?

No, replacing the tackles will not be enough. We are still a roster full of mediocre talent with an extreme lack of playmakers. We need to replace our GM, some of the assistant coaches and about half the roster if we want to be competitive at a Super Bowl level.

So you`re a glass half empty kind of guy... Good thing is if we win on sunday, will probably be in the playoffs, silver lining kind of thing...

Absolutely not. Miami could use an upgrade at running back and tight end on offense. I love Clay, but if he was paired with an actual tight end it would make the offense even better.

On defense, our linebacking corps is a joke. Ellerbe is OK, but Wheeler is not cutting it. With our defensive line, the linebackers should be making plays everywhere and they're not. We're also one of the worst teams at missing tackles. Perhaps even an upgrade at free safety. Give Jones another year to see if that contract really was a waste of money.

Miami offensive line woes go beyond the tackles, it is all about the scheme itself. Miami employs the zone blocking scheme but only one player actually fits that mode-Mike Pouncey. So it is a round hole-square pegs situation. You want to see a real ZBS, look at Kansas City and the Redskins. It is a thing of beauty to watch. The tackles and guards are so quick on their feet they look so unstoppable. Look at what happened when Miami added Sam Brenner to the lineup-the running game improves well until they ran into Buffalo. I think it is more about the guards than the tackles. If Miami are going to stick with the ZBS, they would need at least two really good OG- system fit guards of course. John Jerry is not a system fit guy, remember he almost didn't make the team last year but since Miami GM is so bad at drafting OL he sticks around for two more years. I believe this team will really turn it around if and only if they could get a couple more of good system fit OL. That would improve the running game which in turn means a balanced offense. I think our rbs are good enough.

And I guess this is Irelands fault too? To run a complicated system that we don't have the players for? Or no... Its Irelands fault because he couldn't build an ideal offensive line for the scheme in two seasons. Everything is Irelands fault! Its Irelands fault we have 3-4 good DB's right now and our rookies can't get extended mins!! Itd also his fault Jordan doesn't start because we have two pro bowl caliber DE's right now. Its Irelands fault Wheeler continues to start over Jordan. Ireland can't call plays to benefit Wallace and get him open in space. Its Irelands fault Tannehill and Wallace can't connect deep and its Irelands fault that we don't stick with the run , even in certain games when the running game is working and we are facing a poor run defense.

Blame the GM for everything!!!! Gooo Zone Blocking!!!

You're going to have to keep Jones through the 2015 season the way his contract is structured
otherwise you'll take a huge hit $$$ wise

We have to fix the OT's and OG's. 1 of each new in FA, and 1 of each in draft if possible. 2 OT's are absolutely necessary, we may be able to deal with Garner, Brenner, or D. Thomas if he improves at one of the Guard spots.

Sign Brandon Albert, and resign Soliai, Grimes, Carroll and perhaps Clemons to another 1 year deal.
Draft Cyril Richardson in the first and an OLB to replace Wheeler in the 2nd and a FS to replace/compete with Clemons in the 3rd.
This would make me happy.

Apparently Kouandjio has fallen on draft boards under Lewan which is good since he is a better fit for us, I wouldn't mind trading up to the bottom of the first for Oghbuhie.

That would solve our OT issue.

Sign Satele/Mack move Pouncey to RG. Garner deserves a shot at starting at LG competing with Brenner.

Make up our minds on Thigpen/Gilislee IMO they can't co-exist, Thigpen would be my pick cause he returns kicks.

Daniel Thomas is having a decent season behind an awful line but IMO that doesn't mean he should stay. Draft a power back on the 4th.

As much as people say we shouldn't trade a 33 yo. Cam Wake, that 2nd/3rd round pick would be a lot of help towards trading up to ensure we get our OT's.

Trade Wake for a 3rd, and trade up on both the 1st and 2nd with both those 3rds to get Kouandjio and the A&M RT whatever his name is.

Resign Soliai since Odrick doesn't couple that well with Starks. Draft a back up RE on the 5th and a back up DT on the 6th.

Resign Carroll, cut Patterson as good as he is simply cause Carroll is younger. Let Clemmons walk and let Michael Thomas and Wilson battle the FS spot. Tag Grimes or give him a big contract with little guaranteed money, a la Revis.

Trusnik leaves, let Kaddu back Misi up. We are stuck with our LBs simply cause it'd be more expensive to cut them than keep them.

Switch the defense back to a normal look, there's tape of this defense already and no one is thrown off because our SOLB plays on the right. That will keep Wheeler clean off the ball to make plays unlike how he has to deal with TE's and FB's lead blocking him now.

No, they need better interior line, lineplay overall, rushing and better receivers.

No, I think we need more. Guards, linebackers among the next most important

Sign Solai, Grimes, and Carroll. Cut Patterson and resign for less if he's wiling or if the kids really improve over offseason, forget him. Bring back Clemons but also try to find someone to push him, more of a playmaker. In FA, try to get a Tackle and a guard. Then head to draft. Round 1 take the best player available. If it's CJ Mosley take him, if it's a receiver take him, if it happens to be an olineman, take him. Then in the next rounds start focusing on best player on a need position. Taking the best player available starts adding playmakers to our roster even if they don't get tons of snaps. Jordan with a full offseason with the team will show up and be tremendous, if you remember he didn't get much time because of Pac10 timetable. Taylor, Thomas should both be better with a full offseason and a full season of recovery plus added strength. Davis could use a great offseason as well.

Yes, and I have said elsewhere that the experience of getting into the playoffs will be a good thing for this team. Even if we lose our first game 62-7. We've been bad for so long that people forget that just getting to the playoffs isn't the goal. Winning the Super Bowl is the goal --- and we are no where near being close to being good enough to win a Super Bowl. So you go on being happy being the sixth seed in the playoffs. Some of us want more.

Option 1) Erving OT FSU Rd 1 Groy OG Wisconsin Rd 4 or 5
Option 2) Richardson OG Baylor Rd 1 OT later on

Getting a FB Copeland (LSU) or Prosch (Auburn) would also help the running game
