I'm with the obviously intelligent fishypete, when it comes to Spears and Merriman anyway. IMO, #7 is a little too high for Clayton and I think we could get him at #18 if we want him.fishypete said:Spears, Merriman or Clayton....three top players...three great character players...three Saban type players.
That is for sure. Anyone who thinks Merriman is a reach at #7 either hasn't seen him play or is blind, IMO. Shawne Merriman = Willie McGinest when he was 21 years old and Willie went in the top ten of round 1.finsnchips said:Merriman isn't a reach at #7. He is another Saban type guy. Great athlete.
We won't get 7, 18, and a 2nd. Equal value would be 7, 18 and a 4th, but just 7 and 18 is only a difference of 50 points, 2600 vs 2550, on the trade value chart I have. I would try to get the 4th too, but if Minny holds fast at just giving up the 7 and 18, I'd take it in this draft.TheBostonBomber said:You guys think if we trade with minny.....we will get their 7,18,and 2nd....is that fair?
I would love this to happen!

I agree with that statement, though we'll soon see as M.Williams will certainly be starting somewhere in the NFL this season.pcfin said:I agree Fins2. M. Williams is the surest thing in the draft. If he had played last year, we would be talking about him going #1.
fishypete said:Possible....but I'm looking at certain teams that may trade up for Clayton...at 18 he's a steal....maybe flat out Larceny. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the third receiver taken....forget the height stuff....this kid is the real deal.
The best Wr in the draft: Troy Williamson :cooldude:Fins 34 said:Assuming we trade down to #7, and Smith, Rodgers, Brown, Benson and Edwards are gone for sure. Who doe we select at #7?
