If we go 9-7 or 10-6 but dont make playoffs

GB was missing half their team.

Buffalo took Pitt to OT

Shut down? We came off a 45-3 game 6 days earlier, we were in shock still. That game was awful football on both sides.

You also:

Lost to Cle, Det and Buffalo

They did NOT have a top 6 defense last year, they were 14th in points allowed

Dynamic Reggie Bush? Is he at SC again?

Can you win 9 games? Absolutely but to expect that is asking a lot in this division and this conference.

Er the Jets had no business even making the playoffs 2 years ago, and barring 2 epic screw ups by Cleveland and Houston the Jets don't make it last year either.
Whatever, we'll see what happens this year.

I love arguing with you junc when I'm around.... but if you want to cherry pick stats then lets play that game...

Your Jets also were shut out by the Packers who according to you were missing half their team... Not very impressive

Your Jets split with Pittsburgh who as you stated Buffalo took to OT... Again not very impressive

Regardless of what you say your Jets did lose to Miami only scoring 6 points in the process.... if you want to use the NE game as an excuse then maybe that's a comment on Rex and the coaching staff..... we lost to Cleveland the previous week but we able to re focus and beat a solid team in the Jets

I agree though that I think this team can win 9 games this season but it will be tough given the division and conference.... but with that said I don't think Plaxico is an upgrade to Braylon, most of all with respect to making Defenses scheme towards defending the deep ball, so IMO the offense takes a small step back this year while the defense remains equal to what is was last season post Jenkins ACL..... so do I think the Jets can win 12-13 games this year..... sure I do... but I could also see them needing to win 2 out of those last 3 against the Eagles, Giants, and Fins to get to 10-11 depending on how NE and Miami play them early on.... The Baltimore, NE, Miami, SD stretch is not a gimme month by any means....

GB beat us, it was a low scoring game w/in a FG for most of it. They had some of their guys back most notably some schlub named Clay Matthews.

Beating Pitt is a good win, I wasn't knokcing Pitt. The point is any team can play another team close and even win. It's not something to crow about that you lost a close game to Pitt.

45-3 6 days earlier in the most hyped up reg season game of the year, that will affect any team. It took us a week to get over it. You guys were just as bad as us in that game, it was a terrible football game that was won by your punter.

I think our O will be better, I agree Plax(at least early on) will be a downgrade from Edwards but we get Holmes for 16 games and sanchez is another year older and more experienced. I think Mark has a breakout year this year.

Defensively we are in year 3 of this system, we have a young core, we drafted 2 guys early on the DL, Calvin pace is healthy(he was never healthy last year), Cro is in this system for year 2.

Nothing is guaranteed, on paper I think this is our best team but we could certainly take a step back. I expect we'll be a top team again but you never know.

5-11

show me 9-10 wins

I think the Dolphins can beat the Cowboys, and I can see them winning at least 1 against NE/NYJ...don't know if we can split with both though. I think SD and NYG are toss-ups as well. HOU....maybe we'll finally beat them? I kinda doubt that one though as well. KC...it's possible, but I give KC the edge at home.

The only games I expect a loss are: PHI, @NE, HOU and oddly @BUF considering Henne History against them. Maybe KC, not sure yet. The Jets are tough to choose too because the Fins have done extremely well against them since 2008, so I give MIA a chance in both. As a defense and offense last year, Miami did well against NE at Home, the Special Teams lost that game.

Lmao they won 7 last year with Henne playing pretty poorly, with a harder schedule. And we've added SOME talent.

added talent? we got rid of henning! thats two games right there! no friggin wildcat that i can see!
