If we're really interested in McPherson....

Considering that McPherson is behind Kliff Kingsbury on the Saints' depth chart, it seems sort of silly to think that he's better than anyone on our roster, except for maybe Brock Berlin, who at best is destined for our practice squad.

well i think it means were getting rid of of feely, sage or brock......i think feely or sage leaves and brock or adrian stays at #3 on the roster and the other is practice squad

I don't like McPherson, and if the team is gonna keep a younger "developmental QB," whats the difference between Brock and McPherson, besides hype and gambling? I'd rather keep Berlin than sign McPherson.

Im wondering why we are keeping Sage if we arnt using him. Was he originally brought in as a potential starter one day as a long term prospect or just to hold a clip board? I say Bring in fresh blood if we can use him and not catching cobwebs on the sidelines as Sage is doing .

Why would we go after a QB who cant beat out New Orleans' 3rd String QB?

Mind boggles.

What the hell, I'll apply for the post of 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th string QB fodder.

The difference between McPherson and Brock is scrambleing ability and arm strength. I personally would let go Sage for McPherson and keep Brock

Theres a huge difference between the Saints QB corps and the Dolphins LB corps as far as reputation is concerned. Say what you want about the Saints QBs, none of them have done anything. Brooks is overrated.
saints have 2 (pro-bowl) starting nfl qbs that have been on their roster the last 5 years how many have we had ??

lets see he can throw flat-footed for 70 yards and runs in the 4.5 range... he is a PROSPECT thats all....we dont really have one of those we have "scrubs".

Some of you people are either really dim or just completely ignorant.

It isn't about McPherson being better or worse than Rosenfels. Of course Sage is better at this point. He has been in the league for like 4 years now, while McPherson is a rookie, and one who didn't exactly get the full college career before that.

None of that changes the fact that McPherson has more talent and tools in his index finger than Sage possesses in his entire body. Wake up and realize that Sage isn't going to get significant playing time no matter what. I do think Sage could be a serviceable QB if ever given the opportunity, but he has pretty much reached his ceiling as far as progression goes. McPherson can potentially get much better, and Sage can't. That is the bottom line, and there is no reason to just keep Sage buried at #3 when he isn't going anywhere, playing time or developmentally.

I know the concept of actually developing a QB is really foreign to all of us Dolphins fans, but look around the league. Almost every team's 3rd QB is a really young and raw guy that is there strictly to see what he can become. With the Dolphins, for years it has been just basically a body to have in case of emergency.

It would be a really solid move and forward thinking if they did it. If he doesn't pan out, big deal. That is why they are late round picks and buried on the depth chart to where they don't see game action.

Well Kliff Kingsbury must have more talent in his pinkie finger, than McPherson has in his whole body, if he does in fact beat him out for the 3rd string QB.

 Doesnt change the fact that if someone put them thru Drills Adrian would make Sage/Brock look like peewee players.

So he had a good workout, Mike Mamula had a great workout and he didn't do anything significant. I think people look at other teams garbage players, and think they're better, just because it's somebody different, not because they're better players.

I don't care what he can do in drills, what he can do on the field is all that matters to me.
