If you guys know me, you know I'm an LSU Tiger. Lemme tell you about Jarvis.

Let me ask you guys a question. How many of you who are bitching would love to have OJ McDuffie, in his prime, on this team? Because that's what you're getting with Landry, plus the ability to make freakish catches that was the hallmark of Oronde Gadsden.

Landry is ALREADY on the level of McDuffie in his prime?

Love Landry, great pick.. I thought a RB was more of a need for the future since Moreno is on a 1 year deal.. Would been nice to have Hyde or hill with this pic.. I would think a 2nd round receiver would be considered a #1 but Landry will be a #2 slot guy..

Speaking of the TCU game, I only saw Verrett on Landry one time, but Landry crossed his face and would have scored a TD with an accurate throw. Mettenberger threw it behind Landry, allowing Verrett to make a play on the ball (nice play by Verrett, btw). In the RZ, Landry did receive a lot of attention from the slot.

Really happy with this pick. Good routes, fights for yards, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. While I agree we need a endzone threat size-wise, Landry has an eye for the endzone. I'll take that any day. If Tannehill and Wallace can get their **** together, Landry will become even more dangerous.

Seems like a good start. Now he needs to surpass Hartline and subject him to slot work. Hartline would be very dangerous as primarily a slot receiver. Hopefully they can find the type of TE we've all been waiting for since Keith Jackson. Throw in another guard and the offense SHOULD be fixed.

But we'll see. We're still talking about the Dolphins.

Hartline would not make a good slot receiver. His YAC is piss poor, very little wiggle in his running style (mostly a sideline runner), and most importantly physically he could not take the hits over the middle.

Yeah agreed^, Hartline's game is working the sideline, which he does VERY effectively.

Great route runners create separation. I have seen this consistenly with some of the best route runners in the NFL. Wallace, great speed, no consistant separation.
