If you need to be reminded why James is a good pick

Point well received. However, there is no denying that this pick was a reach. A massive one at that., we really should have traded up for Lewan.

The media mock drafters had him as a #55-60. No one questions that this is good player. Also, more than one source before the draft mentioned the Dolphins had a first round grade on him. I might agree it is bad scouting. Calling it a massive reach is a stretch for a player with a player with a first round grade.

It will give us more opportunities to score and make big plays.
Sure he will.

And we're sure about that?

I don't think so. I'd rather roll the dice on a playmaker in the first, and, get plodders in the second and below.

Again, lets remember where Jake Long is, and, where Matt Ryan is.

Tanehill took a huge step forward this past year. I'm really excited to see what he can do if we can keep him upright this year, in addition to having a running game. I'm glad we didn't mess around with trading back. And I'm sure Tanny appreciates it too.

Fins up

You could get more out of Tannehill by not putting him in a place where everyone knows he will be and can rush
to blindly. Scheme will keep RT out of trouble.

But never mind, lets just draft ANOTHER ****ing OL guy. It'll work.
Never mind the past 20 years.

Let's just accept that we're drafting between 15 and 20 again next year.

Sure he will.

I'm about as sure as it as you saying he was one of the worst picks in the first round. Let the boy suit and play before we start the assume he is a bad pick.

And your boy Lee didn't get picked yesterday despite being hailed as a late round BPA. I guess the assumptions were wrong.

Where are Long and Ryan? I don't pay attention to them.

We act like the playmakers we do have are 1st or even 2nd rounders.. Clay breaks everyones tackles no wonder he went top 20

He's not "My boy"

He's a WR that can make plays. It's not shocking you can't recognize one, since we haven't had one in decades.
I don't care if he got picked or not. Other teams make bad choices too. JFootball shouldn't be DRAFTED, let alone
in the first round.

Nor should you, if you would like to continue to be 7-9-9-7 every year.
Don't pay attention. Just let everyone do your thinking for you.

Let's just fritter away picks.

Eh, another OL. Another pick gone. Another pick wasted.
How did all those picks last year work out?

Good? Average? Above average?

We're more than a lineman or two away from being a great team.

Atlanta had similar problems we did, terrible O line, an offensive scheme that leaned heavily on pass plays, red zone issues. But the thing is, their roster is better. They know they have to fix certain specific things, O lineman being one of them. With Miami, where was our Tony Gonzalez, Steven Jackson, Roddy White? We're not getting performance out of a lot of positions. "Good" is not anything close to great. Making due with Clay is not good enough. Not having a premium RB is not good enough. Hartline making critical catches and moving the chains, but getting no YAC, is not good enough. I think people forget we play in the NFL. If we ever get past the kiddie pool of the AFC East we'll have a lot of great teams to beat. What's the plan?

I'm not going to live in the past. Ireland and our other GM's failures are over now, time to move on. I'll give Hickey a fair shot this weekend before I start pounding my fists on the table.

Sure. No reason to take lessons from the past and apply them to the future.

Lets just change the faces and suits.....Maybe shift a logo and the colors, and,
WA-LA.....

Brand new team. Everyone and everything is just magically transformed.

So they had to draft a tackle in the first round? Nothing else would've filled that hole, huh? interesting.

Wait I thought it was because Tannehill was not "AWARE" he was getting sacked..... :-/

Clearly a need pick Tannehill was on his back more than any qb since 2006,
Juwan James can be good enough to take on 2 lineman at times. Uses his weight and arms well. Needs to get faster, stronger.

Sure he will.

Jake Long team has pick 13 and Matt Ryan's team has pick 6 and drafted someone to do what Jake does lol
