Obviously many of these things are contingent upon other factors. First and foremost is Ogunleye. I'll slap that big tag on him, but listen to all trade offers. I'd be happy with a low 1st rounder and perhaps a 4th. QB, OG, and WR are targeted with the first picks. If it's Henson for next year's #2, WR and OL are the targets.
At QB, if Brunell is traded away, I'd inquire about Ramsey. If no-go there, I'll be forced to keep Jay Fiedler. Meanwhile, I'll scout Henson and then make a decision whether or not to pursue him or hope for Rivers. No more than a #2 pick for Henson.
On the OL, my goal is to get one guard and either re-sign Wade or make a play for Tate. If Brunell is under center, we must get a competant pass blocker. Solomon Page is a second tier guy who's big and could be a stopgap. At guard, I'd re-sign Jamie Nails and let him compete for a spot opposite a guy like Jeno James or Chris Villareal. I deem Damien Woody unattainable.
At WR, I'm depending on Tolver to compete with Thompson for slot duties. I'm hoping that Tolver comes on because there's really not much out there in free agency aside from Darrel Jackson. I'll then look to the draft and try and grab someone by round three.
Defensively, I'm looking at the secondary. Specifically safeties. Yeremiah Bell could make noise. But I'm keeping my eyes open for more youth and speed at the position. I'm also looking at cornerback, since T-Buck ain't getting any younger and Madison is in decline.
We can't take anything for granted defensively. Things can change in a hurry. And you have to be prepared for it. So I'm looking at late rounders and hidden gems all over. These guys would also contribute on special teams.
Finally, I'm looking for a kick returner. A guy who can flat out fly and juke.
