I'm a HOMER.....

You can be a homer and be realistic at the same time. Even though many of the so called experts have us still at 4, 5, and even 6 wins next season, I believe realistically, coaching alone would have made last years team a win or two better, and with upgraded areas on this team and obviously upgraded coaching and teaching, we'll be at the 7 or 8 win mark come the end of the season. As many of you have said before on here, we were in EVERY game last year except the Jets Monday Night Game... Seattle, the second Buffalo game, Arizona, Cincinatti, we had a chance to win every one of those games with less than 2 min's to go in each of them... that's 4 more wins and an 8 and 8 season with that "Team" and coaching staff. So, if you want to be realistic, this years team is head and shoulders above last year... therefore.. another 3 to 4 wins this year isn't out of the question.. We are all Homers, we love our Dolphins and will defend them to the end... and just like family members, WE can talk trash about them all we want when we disagree with something.. but let someone outside the family talk $h*t about them.. and it's ON! Go Fish!

LOL.. yeah I don't mind arguing with another Dolphin fan... as long as we are looking for the same thing. Don't mind giving props when I'm wrong about a player as long as we win games... but I don't want to hear S**T from other fans.....LOL
 
You can't expect Saban to come in here and snap his fingers and we make the playoffs...I'll always be a Dolphins fan no matter our win/loss record....I'm hoping for a 8 win season...that would make me happy! Anything greater would be a BONUS! :up:

kind of tough winning that bet...since we play 16 games...LOL
 
The Dolphin inside me screams to win every game, but, Reason says a tough division, a tough schedule, new coaching, and we are rebuilding, Equals a season of 8-8.:(

Guilty as charged..... my name says it all. Damn reality, reason, etc.. just excuses to me.... I can't in good conscience EVER state or even contemplate that the 'phins will lose to anybody, at any time. I would guess this could qualify me as the biggest homer of the homers....but i'm sure there are others that feel the same way. To me admitting we should win 10-12 games is concedeing 4-6 games. I can't and won't do it. ......."when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor..did we quit then?"....(...trailing off in John Belushi from Animal House motivational monologue...):rolleyes: Never say die baby!
