According to the Herald, cut blocks are legal, chop blocks are not. Not quite sure what the difference is. But, the article states that replays show that it was a chop block.

Pretty sure a cut block is from the front, like what RB's do when a blitzing LB comes into the pocket, they get low and try to leverage the LB off their feet. Totally legal.

A chop block is when you go low from the side or when the player is engaged with another. Very dirty Buddy Ryan crap.

if you watch the live shot of the play, not the zoomed out replay, you'll see that it's very blatant... Vickerson WAS sorta engaged with another player, and the second Falcon lineman actually took a step back and DOVE into the side of Vickerson's knee.... it was really awful...

Look at it from the bright side. They have to come back to Dolphins Stadium in November. That means our front seven should have about 60 chances to go low on Michael Vick -- the later, the better.

That pisses me off. Why possibly end a players career over a pointless preseason game?? That guy should be strung to a tree and have his knees beaten with baseball bats and golf clubs.
