I'm out

I added a couple commas for you, Grammar Lad.

"Of course" does not always have to be offset by commas. It's a matter of personal preference, context and style. But of course you know that.

Anyway, the point is not that my grammar is always perfect. All I'm saying is that someone who claims they won't settle for lowered expectations and demands top effort every day might want to start by looking into the mirror.

the quitters are liars....they will be watching.

I'm trying to launch a brave new era, free of grammar bullies.

Up next, my riveting diatribe on why the Oxford comma is overrated.

Confirmed to attend thus far: The strippers, JFK and Stalin.

Sounds like a fun party. I might drink through the diatribe, though.

Done wasting my time with this garbage team. 40+ years of disappointment is enough. They're not going anywhere this year, next year or probably for a long time. Good luck with your high hopes year in and year out only to find out that they're garbage again.

GTFO then.

Who are you going to root for? The Chiefs? They're winning.

I don't even watch the games anymore. I went full retard watching yesterdays game just because it was on nat'l television. Need to worship my own advice until I see this team 8-0 to start the season.

The sad thing is that those of us who watched 17-0 know EXACTLY what this team needs to win again, yet no one seems to listen or care.

1. We need an organization for which the only goal is WINNING, WHATEVER IT TAKES, and nothing else... $$$, marketing, ticket sales, etc. matters.

2. We need driven coaches at every position who will accept nothing but excellence.

3. We need players who care about wins more than paychecks.

4. We need a change in philosophy in the front office... we must become a team of PLAYMAKERS, not a collection of mediocrities and wannabes who are "cap-friendly". If you think acorns can win, YOU are NUTS. We send off talents like Bush and now rush for 2 yards a game while drafting specialist pass rushers who can't even play the majority of the downs.

5. The popgun "west coast offense" is DEAD in the NFL. We need vertical WR's who challenge defenses and open up the running game.

6. A simply functional OL would do wonders and it doesn't take a bunch of high draft picks. Half of the '72 line was castoffs from other teams.

7. QUIT DRAFTING BY THE NUMBERS and draft players by actual PERFORMANCE against elite NCAA opponents. No more 6'8", 355 lb. guys from SW Rhode Island State who "look good in measureables"

8. No more "defense first" mentality. That cancer has plagued us since the day Shula retired.

But no one is listening. They all think an NFL team is a few kill-the-QB wharf rats on defense and a human highlight film wannabe at QB running all over the place.

When we have dominant offensive players like the Griese, Csonkas and Warfields were in this league, we will be winning again. Not with acorns like daniel thomas and the like.

Well I wonder what our attendance at next Sundays game will be. We had just over 52,000 at our last home game. 24,000 empty seats. I would actually laugh if only Charger fans showed up at Sun Life. Ross would get a big dose of reality then. He needs it.

I'm out.... but I'm going to go to my usual Dolphins forum to check back and see what people have to say about it.

Look, I understand what you are going through. I'm 41, and I've never watched my team win a Super Bowl. I've wanted to do the same thing. Sometimes (for sanity purposes) you might just need to take a break from paying any attention to football. Do that. Come back when you are ready. Don't listen to those fans who make rude comments about it. Just go. Keep your sanity. Stay away from all football talk. Come back when you feel ready.
