I get where you're coming from, but personally, I'm not angry about the situation. To be honest, I've kind of enjoyed this drama and the speculation and nonsense that goes with it. The Miami Dolphins has been a losing organization for a number of years now, and apparently a really a dysfunctional one, as well. It's possible that this will be the catalyst that spurs much needed changes from the very top of the organization on down -- a total culture change for the better -- and maybe give people a reason to cheer for this crew once again.
I almost never watch television news programs and I especially don't watch ESPN, NFLN, or other sports news or analysis programs. So, this situation has also served as a reminder for me of why I generally just leave the television off.
Now, as for this whole situation in general: Richie Incognito and Jon Martin are both, for lack of a better term, social retards. They fit right in with folks like Jeff Ireland and Dawn Aponte, known throughout the league as a couple of people with limited social graces who somehow continue to hold positions of power in our organization despite a track record of failure. Our head coach, who I think may actually turn out to be a good coach (if he survives), is a guy who reads from cue cards in his postgame speeches. Steve Ross is a terrible public speaker.
In short, our franchise basically lacks presence. Ryan Tannehill seems like he has some, but I'm not convinced he has the take charge attitude to step up and save this entire franchise from a complete and utter lack of charisma, inspiration, and leadership. It's pitiful, but I actually support hiring Jon Gruden -- a coach I have a number of very serious reservations about -- simply because he would bring precisely that to this franchise. Even if it's not good leadership, at least it's leadership.
EDIT: For the record, by "culture change," I don't mean "guidelines against bullying" and stuff like that. I mean basic stuff, like not totally pissing off Randy Starks, Paul Soliai, and every other player you've ever negotiated with. I mean not having a policy of secrecy when dealing with the media that makes Bill effing Belichick look open and personable. I mean not probably causing this entire stupid sordid mess by threatening to move Jon Martin to the NFI list so you can save a few thousand dollars. In other words, get the people with the social aptitude of a wet noodle out of positions where they have to make decisions and then communicate them to other parties.
