It is physically impossible for Ju'wan James to be ****tier at his job than Tyson Clabo and Jon Martin.

That's not the point. The point is you could get a guy in 3-4 round who is better than Martin and Clabo.

I agree completely! Most of the people on this board are destroying this pick, but you get a guy who comes from a zone blocking scheme in the sec and handled himself very well and still has the potential to get stronger and be taught better technique. We can finally utilize our deep threat in Mike Wallace because Tanny will finally have time to stand in the pocket and throw the ball. You could have drafted a good db or good wr out there but that wouldn't have made a difference to this team if Tanny is consistently on his back side. Plus this is one of the deepest drafts for wr so we can still get someone good in the middle rounds. We now have a bookend tandem of tackles for the next few years in Albert and James and no one could be happier then Tanny!!!

Actually we won't know that until he gets out there in a real game....the kid got owned by Clowney over the yrs.....I remember folks saying no one can be worse than Columbo......no one can be worse than Dan Henning.....etc.... it happens, hopefully it won't happen in this situation

Exactly. ORTs aren't that super hard to find. He's not a playmaker, and he's not going to score points, which
is what you have to do to beat the other guy.

I keep watching highlights of James, hoping to make myself feel better. I just don't see it. He doesn't seem to finish blocks and he looks about as strong as Martin was coming out.

That always makes me laugh. Years of the best strength training availiable.....The biggest day of your life (Combine) in
terms of being a pro...And at 46 years old *I* could get as many reps of 225 as Martin could.

Who got owned by Clowney?
Richardson.

And I know this just because I'm a Vols fan, but I will post a link about last years game. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...lowney-vs-antonio-richardson-matchup-unveiled

In the fourth quarter, Clowney spent four downs on the opposite side against right tackle Ja'Wuan James, and James actually got the better of him on a couple of run blocks.

I like this attitude from James too:

really? you should take a closer look at his arms. and obviously your tape watching is lacking.

Same here. I am watching the tapes now, and he looks like a 3rd round project tackle.

In the Miami herald I believe it was Salguero who said that James onlygave up 5 sacks in 4yrs as a starter.
If true, that is iimpressive playing in the SEC.

our luck with drafting Tennessee players has been oh so great:

Dallas Thomas
Jason Allen
Eddie Moore
