...Dolphin Nation has always been hopeful that our squad would (or indeed will) improve their game during the off-season via the draft/free agent acquisitions - to strengthen weaker spots (positions) in order to place ourselves in the playoffs the following season.

Being die hard fans we automatically share that the hope – that last year's lackluster play will improve to the point where we can move ever closer in earning a spot in the post season. I, of course, being a loyal fan since boyhood, have never surrendered that hope regardless of how ugly we performed the previous year. Next year is a new year, I always tell myself.

But this year I as normal continue to uphold that hope but with an added exuberance. Today I hold inside me an extra pump of enthusiasm because of one man: Bill Lazor. If our offensive players play inline with Lazor's philosophy on Sundays (gelling into that scheme sooner rather than later), you can bet that we will finally! transform ourselves into a high-octane offensive powerhouse! Because of our hiring Bill Lazor, my expectations for my Dolphins this season has skyrocketed to the stratosphere.

And if our offensive players adopt to his philosophy from the get-go, we will most definitely stick around after the regular season ends, no doubt. It would not be surprising at all (for me at least) to see us dethrone our divisional kings - the New England Patriots (Brady in other words) - to the dust; finally winning the divisional championship we have all lusted for in all these trying years. Thanks to Bill Lazor's appointment, in my view, the 2014-15 season will indeed mark that all too elusive turning point we have so patiently been awaiting.

(And I understand that the players are really, really fired-up to play Lazor's elite style of offensive...which is absolutely vital!)

My sole concern is with one player: Caleb Sturgis.

How much of a difference will Bill Lazor make in 2014-15 in your personal view?

Ret's see how many lesponses this gets. Haha
Philbin guarenteed explosive last year. I'll wait and see. Long time fan myself with optimism but recent years have opened my eyes more to realism.

Ah yes Bill Razor. He should have success coaching against the Pats in Gillette Stadium.

Oh! Now that is a very funny typo. My typing fingers must be out of joint. I'll fix it now.

Please disregard the simple typo and share your answers on the question posted. Thanks and sorry for my retarded fingers. Jez.

I really do not want my harmless typo to deter you from posting your view on the matter. I am really curious to read how think about what I asked.

Thanks guys.

its all about tanny, PERIOD!!

and as much as i want to get all giggly right now, i have to temper it a bit.

i like what i am hearing about the things he is installing and how much the skill players are loving it. however................ .

................. the things a qb must do to make this thing happen are some of tannys weaknesses. getting the ball out on time, not staring down wr's or te WAITING for them to get "open".

THE BIG PLAY. he has a major problem hitting the big play down field weather he is under a rush or standing there scratching his azz. and all these things this offense is designed for is setting up that big play down field.

can he read quick enough FINALLY to where he can be a good redzone qb. AGAIN, everyone wants to blame the wr or TE but when your in the redzone, everything gets real small and real tight and you cant hesitate or slow read. and he causes some of our red zone frustration because of that. very seldom is a player standing in the endzone on a redzone play and the qb gets to toss it to him. you got guys running around the back of the end zone with hands and helmets in your vision. you got wr's with INCHES to spare for that corner of the endzone catch. te or wr dragging across the front of the endzone with 3-4 guys right on them and one hand from any one of those guys can knock it away, OR, if the throw is behind [cough-cough] its a pic.

and this is all at 200 mph in the new razor-lazor offense!! he struggled with a lot of this with the pedestrian chug along offense we had before.

this year couldnt be any more pressure on a qb. tanny has his contract, his reputation and learning a whole new scheme and language. the team will win or go home mostly on his shoulders. he has a gm who has NO connection to him and he is in his last [do or die] year. if he doent pick his game up and adapt it to the new scheme, he is DONE with a capitol DONE!! hickey can not tie himself to a qb long term and pay him franchise qb money if he isnt showing it by the end of his contract. the "he'll put it together next year" hopes are gone and used up. the wrong move by gambling and thinking the "just another year" thing and he signs him up after a not so improved season, hickey is in in trouble. and so is the team locking up a guy with huge cash and years that they KNOW wont get them to the show!

so, as jazzed as i am, i am as much finger crossed with the tanny factor. i believe in what lazor is doing and believe if the players are here to operate it, it is going to be one of the games best.

its all about tanny. will he RISE or will he FALL?

I can appreciate your enthusiasm. I am also cautiously optimistic about the up coming season. We added some nice players this year but just as important our rookies from last year are healthy. In some ways it's like having a double draft. Never the less it's been so long since we have been truely successful that it's really difficult to get to hyped up until they actually prove something on the field.

Bill Razor is your alias in porn isn't it?
I go by Dick Razor.
